4. Setup

Before initial use, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack the heater and place it on a firm, level, and heat-resistant surface.
  2. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the heater (at least 50 cm from walls, furniture, and curtains).
  3. Plug the heater into a suitable electrical outlet (220-240V ~ 50Hz).
  4. First Use: Upon first use, operate the heater for at least 10-15 minutes to eliminate the 'new smell'. During this period, ensure the room is well-ventilated.

5. Operating Instructions

Power Settings

Use the Power Selector Dial to choose your desired operating mode:

  • Off (0): Turns the heater off.
  • Fan Only (Fan icon): Activates the fan without heating, providing air circulation.
  • Warm Air (1000W): Provides 1000W of heating power.
  • Very Hot Air (2000W) with Oscillation: Provides 2000W of heating power and activates the automatic right/left oscillation function for wider heat distribution.

Thermostat Control

The thermostat dial allows you to set the desired room temperature. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the temperature setting and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The heater's PTC technology automatically adjusts power consumption based on the ambient temperature, providing maximum power at low temperatures and reducing it as the room warms up.

The room thermostat regulates the device's operation: it runs continuously until the set temperature is reached, then cycles on and off at intervals to maintain the temperature constant. An indicator light on the control panel illuminates when the heater is actively heating and turns off when the set temperature is reached.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the heater from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the plastic housing.
  3. Do not immerse the heater in water or any other liquid.
  4. Periodically clean the air intake and outlet grilles with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris.

Storage

When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Bimar HP129 heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Heater does not turn on:
    • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Ensure the Power Selector Dial is not set to 'Off' (0).
    • Verify that the anti-tip switch on the base of the heater is engaged (heater is on a flat surface).
  • Heater stops operating unexpectedly:
    • The integrated safety device may have activated due to overheating. Unplug the heater, allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes, and check for any obstructions blocking the air inlets or outlets.
    • If the heater stops after reaching the set temperature and does not restart automatically, try turning it off, waiting approximately 5 minutes, and then turning it back on. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
  • Insufficient heating:
    • Ensure the thermostat dial is set to a higher temperature than the current room temperature.
    • Check that the Power Selector Dial is set to 1000W or 2000W, not just 'Fan Only'.
    • Confirm the room size is within the recommended 20 m² for effective heating.

For problems not listed here, or if solutions do not resolve the issue, please contact Bimar customer support.
