3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the sterilizer from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, especially at the rear and sides.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the unit's power inlet and then plug it into a grounded electrical outlet (110V, 50-60Hz).
  4. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Ensure the unit is completely dry before plugging it in.

4. Operating Instructions

The control panel features touch buttons for various functions.

  1. Loading Items: Open the door and carefully place instruments or towels on the racks. Do not overload the cabinet. Ensure items are clean and dry before placing them inside.
  2. Power On: Press the 'Power' button to turn on the unit.
  3. Select Mode:
    • UVC: Press the 'UVC' button for UV sterilization only. This mode is suitable for items that do not require heat.
    • UVC + HEAT: Press the 'UVC + Heat' button for combined UV sterilization and heating. This mode is ideal for towels or instruments that benefit from heat. The heating function reaches up to 140°F (60°C).
    • AUTO: Press the 'Auto' button to activate the automatic cycle. In this mode, the cabinet will automatically perform a sterilization process every 3 hours.
  4. Automatic Shut-off: For safety, the UV lamps and heating element will automatically turn off if the door is opened during operation. Close the door to resume the cycle.
  5. Cycle Completion: Once the selected cycle is complete, carefully open the door and remove the sterilized items. Use heat-resistant gloves if the heating function was used.
  6. Power Off: Press the 'Power' button to turn off the unit when not in use.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the unit is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
  • UV Lamp Replacement: UV lamps have a limited lifespan. If the UV light appears dim or stops working, contact DERMALOGIC customer support for replacement instructions and genuine parts.
  • Rack Cleaning: The stainless steel racks can be removed for separate cleaning. Wash with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly before returning them to the cabinet.
