Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Maxfree S1, try the following common solutions:
- No Signal/Signal Flashing:
- Ensure all cables are securely connected.
- Verify your laptop's USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) if using a single Type-C cable. Look for a Thunderbolt symbol next to the port.
- If using HDMI, ensure the additional USB-A to Type-C cable is connected for power.
- Try connecting to a different port on your laptop or a different power source.
- Screen Does Not Light Up After Connecting:
- Check if the monitor is receiving sufficient power. Some laptops may not provide enough power through their USB-C port alone. Try connecting to an external power source (e.g., a wall adapter) if available.
- Ensure the cables are not damaged.
- Display Settings Issues:
- Access your operating system's display settings (e.g., System Preferences > Displays on macOS, Display Settings on Windows) to configure extended or mirror modes.
- Adjust resolution and scaling to match your preferences.
