7. Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your sterilizer.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the heating plate (stainless steel surface) with a damp cloth to remove any water residue.
  3. Wash the baskets and lid with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry. These parts are top-rack dishwasher safe.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the base unit in water.

Descaling (Monthly or as needed):

Mineral deposits (limescale) may build up on the heating plate, especially if tap water is used. Descaling is essential for efficient operation.

  1. Mix 50ml of white vinegar with 100ml of water.
  2. Pour the mixture onto the heating plate.
  3. Allow it to soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour, or until the limescale loosens. For stubborn deposits, you can run a short "Sterilize Only" cycle (e.g., 5 minutes) with the vinegar solution.
  4. Pour out the solution and wipe the heating plate clean with a damp cloth. Rinse thoroughly to remove any vinegar smell.

Air Filter Maintenance:

The sterilizer has a built-in air filter to prevent secondary pollution. Check and clean the filter regularly.
