Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and the appliance from the box.
  2. Placement: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface near a power outlet. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation.
  3. Clean Components: Before first use, wash the glass carafe, filter basket, and water tank with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. Install Water Filter: Insert the Evolve+ water filter into the designated slot within the removable water tank. Ensure it is securely seated.
  5. Fill Water Tank: Fill the removable water tank with fresh, cold water. The Evolve+ filtration system will filter the water as it is poured into the tank.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the removable power cord into the back of the unit and then into a standard electrical outlet.
  7. Initial Rinse Cycle: It is recommended to run a full water tank through the hot water dispenser without any tea or coffee to clean the internal components before first use.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

  1. Prepare Carafe: Place a #4 paper cone filter into the filter basket located in the carafe.
  2. Add Coffee Grounds: Add your desired amount of coffee grounds to the paper filter. Refer to the included Brewing Guide for recommended gram measurements for different brew sizes.
  3. Place Carafe: Securely place the carafe with the filter basket and coffee grounds onto the heating plate of the coffee maker.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, filtered water.
  5. Select Coffee Mode: Press the power button to turn on the unit. Use the dial on the control panel to select the coffee brewing mode (indicated by the coffee bean icon).
  6. Choose Brew Size: Rotate the dial to select your desired brew size (e.g., 4oz, 16oz, 1L, 1.25L). The display will show corresponding icons for different cup sizes.
  7. Start Brewing: Press the central activation button to begin the brewing process. The TrueBoil Technology will heat water to the optimal SCA Gold Cup certified temperature.
  8. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the carafe and pour your fresh coffee. The hot plate will keep coffee warm for 30 minutes for 1L and 1.25L settings.

Dispensing Hot Water

  1. Place Cup: Place your cup or mug on the cup shelf.
  2. Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, filtered water.
  3. Select Water Mode: Press the power button to turn on the unit. Use the dial on the control panel to select the hot water dispensing mode (indicated by the water droplet icon).
  4. Choose Volume and Temperature: Rotate the dial to select your desired hot water volume (e.g., 200ml, 250ml, 300ml, up to 1000ml) and temperature (e.g., 80°C, 90°C, 95°C, 100°C).
  5. Start Dispensing: Press the central activation button to begin dispensing hot water.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Aqua Optima Aurora.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, wash the glass carafe and filter basket with warm, soapy water. The glass carafe is 100% dishwasher safe.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Water Filter Replacement: The Evolve+ water filter should be replaced after approximately 150 liters of usage or when the filter indicator light illuminates. Replacement filters are available from Aqua Optima.
  • Descaling: The appliance will indicate when descaling is required. Follow the descaling instructions in the full instruction manual. An automated rinse cycle can be run after 72 hours of non-use by pressing the rinse button.
  • Draining for Storage: The appliance can be drained from the bottom for safe and dry storage or during periods of inactivity. Remove the twisty cap and small plug as indicated in the full manual.

Troubleshooting
