4. Setup Guide

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Place the turntable on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive vibration.
  3. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

4.2 Platter and Belt Installation

  1. Place the die-cast aluminum platter onto the turntable spindle.
  2. Locate the durable rubber belt. Gently stretch the belt around the inner rim of the platter and then around the motor pulley. Ensure the belt is not twisted.
  3. Place the slip mat on top of the platter.

4.3 Counterweight Adjustment

Proper counterweight adjustment is crucial for optimal sound and to prevent damage to your records and stylus.

  1. Gently push the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm.
  2. With the stylus guard in place, balance the tonearm by rotating the counterweight until the tonearm floats horizontally.
  3. Once balanced, hold the counterweight steady and rotate the numbered ring to '0'.
  4. Rotate the entire counterweight (including the numbered ring) counter-clockwise to the recommended tracking force (typically 2.5-3.5 grams for the ATN3600L stylus, refer to stylus manufacturer specifications for exact value).

4.4 Dust Cover Installation

Attach the detachable dust cover to the hinges at the rear of the turntable. This protects the unit from dust when not in use.

4.5 Power Connection

Connect the DC12V 1500mA power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the turntable, then plug it into a wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Playing Vinyl Records

  1. Place a vinyl record on the platter, ensuring the slip mat is underneath. For 45 RPM records, place the included adapter on the spindle first.
  2. Select the correct speed (33 or 45) using the speed selector button on the control panel.
  3. Remove the stylus guard from the cartridge.
  4. Gently lift the tonearm using the cueing lever.
  5. Position the tonearm over the desired starting groove of the record.
  6. Lower the tonearm slowly using the cueing lever. The stylus will make contact with the record and playback will begin.
  7. Adjust the volume using the volume knob.
  8. To stop playback, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever and return it to the tonearm rest.

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on the turntable.
  2. Press the "ON/OFF MODE" button until the indicator light turns blue and flashes, indicating Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for "WOCKODER HQ-KZ018".
  4. Select the turntable from the list of available devices to pair. Once connected, the blue indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.
  5. You can now stream audio from your device through the turntable's speakers.

5.3 Aux-in Function

To play audio from an external device via the Aux-in port:

  1. Connect your external audio device to the AUX IN port on the rear of the turntable using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Press the "ON/OFF MODE" button until the indicator light turns green, indicating Aux-in mode.
  3. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the turntable's speakers.

5.4 RCA Line Out

To connect the turntable to external active speakers or an amplifier:

  1. Connect an RCA cable (not included) from the RCA AUX OUT ports (Red for Right, White for Left) on the rear of the turntable to the corresponding input on your external audio system.
  2. Ensure the PHONO/LINE OUT switch on the rear is set to "LINE OUT" for connecting to an amplifier with a line-level input, or "PHONO" if your amplifier has a dedicated phono input.
  3. Adjust the volume on your external audio system.

5.5 Auto Stop Function

The turntable features an auto-stop function that automatically stops the platter rotation when a record finishes playing. This helps prevent unnecessary wear on the stylus and record. 6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Stylus

  • Use a soft brush (not included) designed for stylus cleaning.

6.2 Cleaning the Unit and Dust Cover

  1. Gently grasp the front of the cartridge and pull the old stylus assembly downwards and forwards to remove it.
  2. Align the new stylus assembly with the cartridge body and push it upwards and backwards until it clicks into place.
