3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to position 3 (farthest position). The second hand will stop.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time. To ensure correct AM/PM setting, advance the time until the date changes. This indicates midnight.
  3. Push the crown back into position 1 (normal operating position) to start the watch.

3.2 Setting the Day and Date

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2 (middle position).
  2. Turn the crown clockwise to set the date.
  3. Turn the crown counter-clockwise to set the day.
  4. Once the day and date are set, push the crown back into position 1.

Note: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.

3.3 Adjusting the Strap

The watch features a standard buckle clasp on a leather strap. To adjust, simply thread the strap through the buckle and secure it using the appropriate hole for a comfortable fit on your wrist.

4. Operating Your Watch

4.1 General Operation

Once the time and date are set, your watch will operate continuously. The quartz movement ensures accurate timekeeping. The second hand will sweep smoothly, and the day/date will advance automatically at midnight.

4.2 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (164 feet). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water intrusion.

  • 50 Meters (5 ATM): Suitable for showering, swimming in shallow water. Not suitable for diving or prolonged submersion.

Caution: Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may eventually deteriorate. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes, as this can affect the seals.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning Your Watch

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and strap with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture and harsh chemicals, which can damage the material.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Your watch is powered by one nonstandard battery (included). When the watch stops running or the second hand begins to jump erratically (indicating a low battery), it is time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

5.3 Storage

When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid storing it near magnetic fields, which can affect the accuracy of the quartz movement.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running:
    • Check if the crown is pushed in completely to position 1.
    • The battery may be depleted. Refer to Section 5.2 for battery replacement.
  • Date/Day Not Changing:
    • Ensure the time is set correctly for AM/PM. The date changes around midnight.
    • Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. If you did, reset the time and date outside this window.
  • Water Inside the Watch:
    • Immediately take the watch to a qualified service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself.
