Setup
Initial Charging
Before initial use, it is recommended to fully charge your rechargeable solar watch. A complete charge of the energy cell/battery can take up to 48 hours in direct sunlight or under direct artificial light.

Image: A diagram illustrating the initial setup process for an ETT solar watch. It shows a watch icon and a battery icon, with text indicating the recommendation to fully charge the watch for up to 48 hours in sunlight or artificial light before proceeding with time setting.
The watch is powered by Solar Drive technology. Sunlight or artificial light penetrates the transparent dial and charges an internal battery, which then powers the watch. This eliminates the need for frequent battery replacements.

Image: A diagram illustrating the "Solar Drive Technologie". It shows light entering the watch dial, a silicon solar cell converting light into energy, and the energy being stored in a small rechargeable battery. Key benefits highlighted are "From Light comes Time", "Power reserve of 90 to 180 days", "No more battery changes thanks to solar energy!", and "Environmentally friendly and powerful technology for people and the environment".
Time Synchronization
After initial charging, you can proceed with setting the time via signal reception or, if necessary, via basic settings according to the operating instructions. The watch features radio-controlled technology, ensuring precise timekeeping by receiving the DCF 77 signal from Mainflingen, Germany.

Image: A map illustrating the "Funk Technologie" (Radio Technology) signal range. It shows a 1,000 km radius from Mainflingen, Germany, covering major European cities like London, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Oslo, and Stockholm. The text indicates "Always the radio-precise time", "Automatic changeover for summer and winter time", "Signal range 1,000 km from Mainflingen (near Frankfurt a. M.)", and "Comfortable additional functions, depending on the movement".
The radio signal ensures automatic time adjustment for daylight saving and standard time changes.
Operating Instructions
Basic Time Display
The watch displays time using analog hands (hours, minutes, seconds). The luminous hands ensure readability in low-light conditions.
Digital Date Display
A digital display window on the dial shows the current date. This feature is part of the perpetual calendar, which automatically adjusts for different month lengths and leap years.

Image: A close-up view of the ETT Eco Tech Time watch dial. It clearly shows the analog hour, minute, and second hands, along with the luminous green numerals. A small digital display window is visible, indicating the date. The brand logo and "SOLAR DRIVE RADIO CONTROLLED" text are also visible on the dial.
Special Functions
- Perpetual Calendar: Automatically adjusts for varying month lengths and leap years, ensuring the correct date is always displayed.
- Radio-Controlled Automatic Time Change: The watch automatically adjusts for daylight saving time (summer and winter time) changes.
- Luminous Hands: Hands are treated with a luminous material for visibility in the dark.
- Low Energy Display: Indicates when the watch's power reserve is low, prompting exposure to light for charging.
- Sleep Function: To conserve energy, the watch may enter a sleep mode when stored in darkness for an extended period. It will reactivate and synchronize when exposed to light.
- Overload Protection: Protects the internal battery from overcharging.
Maintenance
Charging
To maintain optimal performance and ensure a long lifespan for the energy cell, regularly expose your watch to light. Avoid prolonged storage in complete darkness. For best results, store the watch in a location with access to light, such as a windowsill.
Water Resistance
This watch is water-resistant up to 5 bar (50 meters). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water, as temperature changes and steam can compromise the seals.
Cleaning
Clean the watch case and strap with a soft, damp cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture and harsh cleaning agents to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting
If your watch is not functioning correctly, consider the following:
- Watch not running or hands not moving: Ensure the watch has been sufficiently charged by exposing it to strong light for several hours. The low energy display might indicate a need for charging.
- Incorrect time display: Place the watch near a window overnight to allow it to receive the radio signal for automatic synchronization. Ensure there are no strong electromagnetic interferences nearby.
- Digital date display issues: If the date is incorrect, ensure the watch has successfully synchronized with the radio signal. The perpetual calendar should correct the date automatically.
If problems persist after following these steps, please contact customer support.
