Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safety and stability of your bike mount. Please follow these steps carefully.
Tools Required (Not Included):
- Drill
- Drill bits appropriate for your wall type and screw size
- Stud finder (if installing into drywall with studs)
- Pencil
- Level
- Measuring tape
- Screwdriver or wrench
Installation Steps:
- Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location. Ensure there is enough space to hang your bike vertically and allow for the 130° swivel. The wall must be a solid stud wall (wood or metal studs) or a concrete/brick wall.
- Determine Height: Hold your bike against the wall in the desired vertical position. Mark the approximate height where the front wheel will hang from the main mount. The main mount should be positioned so the bike hangs securely without the rear wheel touching the ground, allowing for swivel.
- Mark Drilling Points for Main Mount: Place the main bike mount against the wall at your determined height. Use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the four drilling points for the screws.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked points. The size of the drill bit should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the screws. If installing into concrete or brick, use appropriate masonry drill bits and wall anchors.
- Attach Main Mount: Secure the main bike mount to the wall using the provided screws. Tighten them firmly.
- Position Rear Wheel Support: Hang your bike on the installed main mount. Position the rear wheel support pad directly below the rear wheel, ensuring the wheel rests securely on it. Mark the two drilling points for the rear wheel support.
- Attach Rear Wheel Support: Drill pilot holes and secure the rear wheel support pad to the wall using the provided screws.
- Repeat for Second Mount: If installing the second mount, repeat steps 2-7, ensuring adequate spacing between bikes for comfortable access and swivel.

Operating Instructions
Hanging Your Bicycle:
- Lift the front wheel of your bicycle and hook it onto the main mount. Ensure the wheel is fully seated in the hook.
- Allow the rear wheel to rest on the rear wheel support pad.
- Verify that the bike is stable and securely held by both the main mount and the rear wheel support.
Using the Swivel Feature:
The WALMANN bike mount features a patented swivel design with a locking pin to optimize space.
- To Swivel: Gently lift the bicycle slightly upwards from the main mount. This disengages the locking pin.
- While lifted, rotate the bicycle to the desired angle (up to 130°).
- Lower the bicycle back down. The locking pin will re-engage, securing the bike in its new position.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your WALMANN bike mounts.
- Periodic Inspection: Every few months, check all mounting screws to ensure they are still tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Cleanliness: Wipe down the mounts with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Check for Wear: Inspect the hook and swivel mechanism for any signs of wear, rust, or damage. If any component appears compromised, discontinue use and contact customer support.
Troubleshooting
Bike Slips from Mount:
- Check Tire Width: Ensure your bike's tire width does not exceed 7.6 cm (3 inches).
- Proper Seating: Make sure the front wheel is fully seated in the hook and the rear wheel is resting on its support pad.
- Mount Angle: Ensure the mount is installed level and the bike is hanging vertically.
Mount Feels Unstable:
- Check Installation Surface: Confirm the mount is installed into a solid wall stud or concrete/brick wall, not just drywall.
- Tighten Screws: Re-check and tighten all mounting screws.
- Exceeding Weight Limit: Ensure the total weight of the bike does not exceed 22.7 kg (50 lbs).
Swivel Mechanism is Stiff or Not Locking:
- Lubrication: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the swivel bearing if it feels stiff.
- Clear Obstructions: Ensure no debris is obstructing the locking pin mechanism.
- Proper Lift: Make sure you are lifting the bike slightly to disengage the locking pin before attempting to swivel.
