BoxWave miniSync

BoxWave miniSync Retractable Sync Cable for Foxwell F1000B

User Manual

Introduction

The BoxWave miniSync Retractable Sync Cable is designed for convenient charging and data synchronization with your Foxwell F1000B device. Its retractable design offers portability and helps prevent tangles, making it an ideal accessory for on-the-go use. This manual provides instructions for proper setup, operation, and care of your miniSync cable.

Setup

Extending the Cable

To extend the miniSync cable, gently pull both ends of the cable simultaneously. Pulling from only one end or from the middle may cause the retraction mechanism to jam or damage the cable. Extend the cable to your desired length. The cable offers multiple preset lengths for flexibility, extending up to 25 inches (approximately 63.5 cm).

Maintenance

  • Storage: Always retract the cable fully when not in use to protect it from damage and prevent tangles.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cable and connectors. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Handling: Avoid excessive pulling, bending, or twisting of the cable, especially near the connectors, to prolong its lifespan. Always pull from the connector housing, not the cable itself, when disconnecting.
  • Environment: Store the cable in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture.

Troubleshooting

  • Cable Not Retracting/Extending Properly: Ensure you are pulling both ends simultaneously and evenly. If jammed, gently pull both ends slightly further to release the mechanism, then allow it to retract. Do not force it.
  • Device Not Charging:
    • Verify that the USB power adapter or computer USB port is functioning correctly.
    • Ensure both ends of the miniSync cable are securely connected to the power source and your Foxwell F1000B device.
    • Test with a different charging cable or power source if available to isolate the issue.
  • Data Synchronization Issues:
    • Confirm that your computer's USB drivers are up to date.
    • Ensure your Foxwell F1000B device is in the correct mode for data transfer (e.g., 'File Transfer' or 'MTP').
    • Try connecting to a different USB port on your computer.
