Adjusting the Watch Band

Operating Your Watch

Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) to its outermost position. The second hand will stop.
  2. Set the time: Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time.

Using the GMT Function

Your Timex Waterbury GMT watch features a 24-hour hand and a rotating bezel to track a second or third time zone. To use the GMT function:

  1. Set local time: First, set the main hour and minute hands to your current local time as described above.
  2. Set GMT hand: The GMT hand (often a distinct color or shape) can be set independently. Pull the crown to the first click position. Turning the crown in one direction will adjust the date, and in the other direction, it will adjust the GMT hand. Set the GMT hand to the desired second time zone (e.g., home time).
  3. Use the bezel for a third time zone: Rotate the bi-directional bezel to align the 24-hour scale with a third time zone. For example, if your local time is 10:00 AM and your GMT hand is set to 3:00 PM (15:00 on the 24-hour scale), you can rotate the bezel to align the 15 mark with the current time in a third city.

Cleaning Your Watch
