TRUPOW Self-Priming Mini Hand Water Transfer Drill Pump Kit Instruction Manual
Model: 0804
Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your TRUPOW Self-Priming Mini Hand Water Transfer Drill Pump Kit. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
Key Features:
- High Efficiency: Transfers up to 750 gallons per hour (GPH) depending on drill speed.
- No External Power Required: Operates with an electric hand drill, ensuring safety for water and oil transfer.
- Durable Construction: Made from corrosion-resistant thermoplastic, suitable for weak acid and alkaline environments. Features an easily replaceable rubber impeller for extended service life.
- Lightweight & Portable: Weighing only 1.5 lbs, this mini drill pump is easy to store and transport.
- Versatile Fluid Transfer: Designed with an oil-resistant impeller, capable of transferring both water and oil.
- Wide Application: Suitable for tasks such as clearing clogged sinks, pumping out pool covers, emptying aquariums, and transferring oil from vehicles and boats.
Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating the drill pump. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the equipment.
- Power Source: This pump requires an electric hand drill with a minimum speed of 1300 RPM. Ensure the drill battery is fully charged if using a cordless model.
- Fluid Compatibility: The pump is designed for water and oil transfer. Do not use with highly corrosive chemicals, flammable liquids (e.g., gasoline), or liquids with solid particles that could damage the impeller.
- Hose Connections: Ensure all hose connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Hose Condition: Keep hoses free of kinks or obstructions during operation.
- Discharge Hose Length: For optimal performance and to prevent excessive back pressure, the discharge hose length should generally be less than 50 feet for water transfer.
- Oil Transfer Hose: Always use the provided 1/4" clear plastic suction tube for oil transfer.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves and eye protection, especially when handling oils or other chemicals.
- Supervision: Do not leave the pump unattended during operation.
- Not for Manual Operation: This drill pump will not turn by hand. It is designed exclusively for use with electric hand drills.

Setup Instructions
- Prepare the Drill: Ensure your electric hand drill is capable of at least 1300 RPM. If using a cordless drill, ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Connect the Pump to the Drill: Insert the drive shaft of the drill pump into the chuck of your electric hand drill. Tighten the chuck securely to prevent slippage during operation.
- Identify Inlet/Outlet: The pump has clear "IN" and "OUT" markings on its surface to indicate the direction of fluid flow.
- Attach Hoses:
- For Water Transfer: Slide the 1/2" green water hose over the inlet side hose adapter directly. Connect another hose to the outlet adapter. Ensure rubber washers are used for a tight seal.
- For Oil Transfer: Slide the rubber sheathed hose connector through the exposed inlet end of the hose adapter. Insert the 1/4" clear plastic suction tube into the rubber sleeve at the inlet end of the drill pump. The inlet hose for oil should be as short as possible, not exceeding 25 feet.
- Secure Hoses: Ensure all hose connections are tight and free from kinks or obstructions.

Operating Instructions
Water Transfer:
- Submerge Inlet: Place the inlet end of the hose into the water source you wish to transfer.
- Position Outlet: Direct the outlet hose to the desired drainage or collection point. Ensure the discharge hose is not kinked and its length is appropriate (less than 50 feet recommended).
- Start Pumping: With the pump/hose assembly held loosely with one hand, slowly start the electric drill. Observe the "MAX SPEED DRIVING" arrow on the pump to ensure it is rotating in the proper direction for pumping. Increase drill speed gradually to achieve desired flow.
- Monitor: Continuously monitor the fluid transfer process. Do not run the pump dry for extended periods, as this can damage the impeller.

Oil Transfer:
- Connect Oil Tube: Ensure the 1/4" clear plastic oil suction tube is securely inserted into the inlet of the pump, using the rubber sheathed connector.
- Submerge Inlet: Place the clear plastic suction tube into the oil source.
- Position Outlet: Direct the outlet hose to the collection container.
- Start Pumping: Slowly start the electric drill, ensuring the pump rotates in the correct direction. Increase speed gradually.
- Important Note: The inlet hose for oil transfer should be as short as possible, ideally no more than 25 feet, to maintain efficient suction.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, especially after transferring oil or dirty water, flush the pump with clean water to prevent residue buildup and prolong its lifespan.
- Impeller Replacement: The rubber impeller is a wear-and-tear component. If pumping efficiency decreases or the pump fails to prime, inspect the impeller for damage and replace it if necessary. Replacement impellers are available from TRUPOW.
- Storage: Store the pump and hoses in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
