Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.
Replacing the Dust Bag
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a 2-liter dust bag. When the dust bag full indicator on the LED display illuminates, or when suction power decreases significantly, it is time to replace the dust bag.
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet.
- Open the dust bag compartment.
- Carefully remove the full dust bag, ensuring the opening is sealed to prevent dust leakage.
- Insert a new, genuine Eureka replacement dust bag, ensuring it is properly seated in the holder.
- Close the dust bag compartment securely.
Cleaning the HEPA Filter
The Eureka NEN300 features a washable H13 HEPA hygiene filter. Regular cleaning of the filter is crucial for maintaining suction power and air quality.
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
- Locate and remove the HEPA filter from its compartment (refer to the diagram in your quick start guide if unsure).
- Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents or hot water.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it into the vacuum cleaner. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices to dry the filter.
- Once completely dry, reinsert the filter into its compartment and close the cover securely.
Note: For optimal performance and hygiene, it is recommended to replace the HEPA filter annually, or more frequently depending on usage.
Cleaning the Floor Nozzle and Hose
Periodically check the floor nozzle and hose for blockages, tangled hair, or debris. Clear any obstructions to maintain effective suction.
- Disconnect the nozzle and hose from the unit.
- Remove any hair or fibers from the brush roll of the floor nozzle.
- Check the hose for blockages by looking through it or carefully using a blunt object to dislodge debris.
