- Prepare Lancing Device:
- Unscrew the cap of the lancing device.
- Insert a new lancet firmly into the lancet holder.
- Twist off the protective cap of the lancet.
- Replace the lancing device cap.
- Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the cap (start with a shallower depth and adjust as needed).
- Pull back the cocking control until it clicks, indicating it's ready to use.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for an accurate blood glucose test:
- Wash Hands: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Dry them completely.
- Insert Test Strip: Insert a new test strip into the meter's strip insertion slot. The meter will automatically turn on and display a blood drop symbol. The Sinocare Safe AQ Angel uses no-code strips, simplifying the process.
- Obtain Blood Sample:
- Place the prepared lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip.
- Press the release button to prick your finger.
- Gently squeeze your finger until a small drop of blood (approximately 0.6µL) forms.
- Apply Blood Sample: Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip automatically.
- Read Results: The meter will count down and display your blood glucose result in approximately 5 seconds.
- Record Results: The meter automatically stores up to 200 test results, allowing you to track your glucose trends over 7, 14, and 28 days.
- Dispose of Used Materials: Eject the used test strip using the strip ejection button. Carefully remove the lancet from the lancing device and dispose of both the strip and lancet in a suitable sharps container.
