Setup

1. Initial Winding

Your Orient watch is powered by an F6722 automatic movement, which is also hand-windable. To start the watch or if it has stopped, gently wind the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This builds up the initial power reserve.

2. Setting the Time and Date

1. Unscrew the Crown: The crown is a screw-down type for water resistance. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise until it springs out to position 1.
2. Set the Date: Pull the crown out to position 2. Rotate the crown clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
3. Set the Time: Pull the crown out to position 3. The second hand will stop (hacking feature). Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate time, set the time a few minutes ahead, then push the crown back to position 1 when a time signal (e.g., from a radio or phone) reaches the desired time.
4. Secure the Crown: Push the crown back to position 1 and screw it down clockwise firmly against the case to maintain water resistance.

Operating Your Watch

Automatic Movement

The F6722 movement is an automatic, self-winding caliber. It winds itself through the motion of your wrist. Regular wear will keep the watch powered. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop and require manual winding as described in the "Initial Winding" section.

Unidirectional Rotating Bezel

The watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel. This bezel can be used to measure elapsed time, typically for diving or other timed activities. To use it, align the triangle marker on the bezel with the minute hand at the start of your activity. The minute hand will then indicate the elapsed time against the bezel's markings.

Water Resistance

Maintenance and Care

Troubleshooting

• Watch Not Running: If the watch has stopped, ensure it is sufficiently wound. Manually wind the crown 30-40 times. If it still does not start, gently shake the watch side-to-side to engage the rotor.
