3. Key Features
Single Feedforward with 35dB Depth Wide-band ANC
The earphones utilize a single feedforward active noise cancellation (ANC) solution, designed to provide deep noise cancellation without the bass loss often associated with hybrid feedforward-feedback schemes. This design aims for lossless sound quality.
55ms Low-latency Game Mode
For an enhanced gaming experience, the Space Travel earphones offer a dedicated game mode with a signal transmission delay as low as 55ms. This mode can be activated via the touch controls.
Bass Control with Three Tunings
Users can customize their audio experience by selecting from three bass tunings: "Monitor", "Reference", and "Basshead" via the MOONDROP Link APP. The default tuning is "Reference".
Automatic Reconnection & Seamless Monaural-Binaural Switching
The earphones support automatic reconnection to previously paired devices. They also allow for seamless switching between monaural (single earbud) and binaural (both earbuds) modes using mirror image technology, maintaining connection even when one earbud is returned to the charging case.
Ergonomically Comfortable Shallow Ear Fit
Designed for comfort, the earphones feature a shallow ear fit, making them more comfortable than standard in-ear headphones and suitable for users with smaller ear canals.

5.2. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) & Transparency Mode
The earphones offer Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to reduce ambient noise and a Transparency Mode to allow ambient sounds to pass through. Switching between these modes is typically done via touch controls, which can be customized in the MOONDROP Link APP. Note that the voice prompts for these modes may not always clearly indicate the current state.
5.3. Game Mode
To activate the low-latency game mode, tap the touch faceplate four times. This mode reduces audio delay to approximately 55ms, optimizing the experience for gaming. Tap four times again to switch back to music mode.
5.4. Bass Tuning
Utilize the MOONDROP Link APP to select your preferred bass tuning from "Monitor", "Reference", and "Basshead". This allows for a personalized sound profile.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
Regularly clean the earphones and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. Ensure the charging contacts on both the earphones and the case are clean and free of debris.
6.2. Storage
When not in use, store the earphones in their charging case to protect them from dust and damage. Keep the case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6.3. Water Resistance
The Moondrop Space Travel earphones do not have an official IP (Ingress Protection) rating. Avoid exposure to moisture, sweat, or rain, as this may cause damage not covered by the warranty. They are not recommended for use during strenuous exercise or in wet conditions.
7. Troubleshooting
Earphones not pairing/connecting
Ensure both earphones are fully charged. Place them back in the case, close the lid, wait a few seconds, then open the lid to re-enter pairing mode. Check your device's Bluetooth settings and try reconnecting. If issues persist, try forgetting the device on your phone and re-pairing.
Subpar Battery Life
The earphones have a rated battery life of approximately 4 hours. If you experience significantly shorter battery life, ensure they are fully charged before use. Battery performance can vary based on usage (e.g., ANC active, volume level).
Issues with Charging Case
The charging case design lacks a lid, which may lead to earbuds falling out if dropped. Handle the case with care to prevent loss or damage to the earphones.
Transparency Mode or ANC not functioning as expected
The voice prompts for these modes may not be entirely clear. Experiment with the touch controls or use the MOONDROP Link APP to confirm the active mode. Performance may vary in different environments.
MOONDROP Link APP issues
The MOONDROP Link APP may require side-loading on Android devices and has been noted for requesting extensive file access. If you encounter issues or privacy concerns, note that the earphones offer excellent sound quality out of the box without app intervention. App functionality and user experience may vary.
Microphone Quality
Microphone performance is generally acceptable in quiet conditions but may be less effective in noisy environments due to limited background noise reduction. For critical calls in loud settings, consider alternative solutions.
Low Volume Output
If the volume seems low, you may need to increase the volume on your connected device to a higher percentage (e.g., 70%) to achieve a perceived loudness equivalent to 50% on other products. Ensure ear tips provide a good seal.
