4. Setup Instructions

Before connecting, ensure the monitor is placed on a stable surface. The smart cover case can be folded to act as a stand, or you can utilize the pen hole design for propping the monitor.

4.1 Power Supply

For optimal performance, especially when connecting to devices that may not provide sufficient power (e.g., some smartphones or older laptops), it is recommended to power the monitor using the included power charger. Connect the power charger to one of the USB-C ports (Type-C1 or Type-C2) and plug it into a wall outlet.

4.2 Connecting to a Laptop/PC (USB-C)

If your laptop or PC has a full-function USB-C port (which supports video output and power delivery), you can connect the monitor with a single USB-C to USB-C cable (included). This cable will transmit both video signal and power to the monitor.

1. Connect one end of the USB-C to USB-C cable to a full-function USB-C port on your laptop/PC.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C to USB-C cable to either USB-C Port (Type-C1 or Type-C2) on the monitor.
3. The monitor should automatically detect the signal. If not, press the Power Button to turn it on.

4.3 Connecting to a Laptop/PC (HDMI)

If your laptop or PC does not have a full-function USB-C port, you can use the HDMI connection for video and a separate USB-C connection for power.

1. Connect one end of the Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable to the HDMI port on the monitor.
2. Connect the other end of the Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your laptop/PC.
3. Connect the included power charger to one of the USB-C ports (Type-C1 or Type-C2) on the monitor and plug it into a wall outlet to provide power.
4. The monitor should automatically detect the signal. If not, press the Power Button to turn it on.

4.4 Connecting to Gaming Consoles (PS4/PS5, Xbox, Switch)

The monitor is compatible with various gaming consoles. You will typically need to use the HDMI cable for video and a separate power source for the monitor.

1. Connect the Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable from your gaming console to the HDMI port on the monitor.
2. Connect the included power charger to one of the USB-C ports (Type-C1 or Type-C2) on the monitor and plug it into a wall outlet to provide power.
3. Ensure your console is powered on. The monitor should display the console's output.

5. Operating the Monitor

5.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) Menu Navigation

The OSD menu allows you to adjust various display settings such as brightness, contrast, color temperature, and input source.

1. Press the OSD Menu Button to open the OSD menu.
2. Use the Up and Down buttons to navigate through the menu options.
3. Press the OSD Menu Button again to select an option or enter a sub-menu.
4. Use the Up and Down buttons to adjust values or select sub-options.
5. Press the Return Button to go back to the previous menu or exit the OSD.

5.2 Display Modes

The ZSCMALLS portable monitor supports multiple display modes when connected to a compatible device, enhancing productivity and versatility.

• Duplicate Mode: The monitor displays the same content as your primary screen. Useful for presentations or sharing content.
