Setup

  1. Charging Dock Placement: Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of the dock. Connect the power adapter to the dock and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Initial Charging: Place the robot vacuum onto the charging dock. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock. The robot will begin charging automatically. For first use, fully charge the robot (approximately 4-5 hours).
  3. Install Side Brushes: Turn the robot over. Press the side brushes onto the square posts until they click into place.
  4. Install Dust Box and Filter: Open the dust box compartment on the robot. Ensure the HEPA filter is properly seated inside the dust box. Insert the dust box back into the robot until it clicks securely.
  5. App Connection: Download the Lefant APP from your mobile app store. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz WLAN is not supported). Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot vacuum to the app. This will enable advanced features like real-time mapping, cleaning schedules, and no-go zones.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Lefant LS1 robot vacuum.

  1. Emptying the Dust Box: The 520ml dust box should be emptied after each cleaning cycle or when full. Press the release button to remove the dust box, open its lid, and discard collected debris.
  2. Cleaning the Filter: Tap the HEPA filter gently to remove loose dirt. For thorough cleaning, the filter can be rinsed under running water. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting it into the dust box. Replace filters every 3-6 months depending on usage.
  3. Cleaning Side Brushes: Periodically check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Use a small brush or your fingers to remove any obstructions. Replace worn or damaged side brushes as needed.
  4. Cleaning Sensors: Wipe the robot's sensors (including cliff sensors, anti-collision sensors, and charging contacts) with a clean, dry cloth. This prevents navigation errors and ensures proper charging.
  5. Cleaning the Main Brush (if applicable): While the LS1 features a floating roller brush cover, regularly check the main suction area for any blockages or tangled debris.
