Introduction

The Blink Sync Module 2 is a central hub that connects your Blink cameras and other devices to the internet, enabling them to communicate with the Blink Home Monitor app. It facilitates local video storage, allowing you to save motion clips from up to 10 Blink devices directly to a USB flash drive (sold separately) without a subscription.

Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Blink Sync Module 2:

  1. Power Connection: Plug the Sync Module 2 into a standard electrical outlet using the provided power adapter. The blue and green indicator lights on the front of the module will illuminate.
  2. App Installation: Download the Blink Home Monitor app from your device's app store (iOS or Android).
  3. System Creation: Open the Blink app, create an account if you don't have one, and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new system and link your Sync Module 2.
  4. USB Drive Insertion (Optional for Local Storage): For local video storage, insert a compatible USB flash drive (up to 256 GB, sold separately) into the USB port on the back of the Sync Module 2. Ensure the drive is formatted correctly (FAT32 for drives up to 32GB, exFAT for larger drives).
  5. Device Pairing: Once the Sync Module 2 is connected, you can begin pairing your Blink cameras and other compatible devices with the system through the app.
