4. Setup

4.1 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle

The auxiliary handle can be rotated 360° for optimal working position. Loosen the handle, adjust to the desired angle, and tighten securely.

4.2 Installing SDS Plus Drill Bits/Chisels

  1. Ensure the tool is unplugged.
  2. Clean the shank of the SDS Plus bit/chisel.
  3. Insert the bit/chisel into the SDS Plus chuck until it clicks into place. Pull on the bit to ensure it is securely locked.
  4. For chiseling, the chisel alignment can be continuously adjusted using the central selector switch.

4.3 Installing the Geared Chuck for Round Shank Bits

Use the included geared chuck for drilling with standard round shank drill bits (not suitable for hammer drilling or chiseling).

  1. Ensure the tool is unplugged.
  2. Insert the SDS Plus adapter of the geared chuck into the SDS Plus chuck of the hammer drill until it clicks.
  3. Open the geared chuck jaws using the chuck key.
  4. Insert the round shank drill bit and tighten the chuck jaws firmly with the chuck key.

4.4 Attaching the Depth Stop

Insert the metal depth stop into the designated hole on the auxiliary handle. Adjust it to the desired drilling depth and secure it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Function Selector Switch

The central selector switch allows you to choose between different operating modes:

  • Drilling: For drilling in wood, metal, and plastics without impact.
  • Hammer Drilling: For drilling in concrete, masonry, and stone with impact.
  • Chiseling with Rotation Stop: For chiseling and demolition work. The rotation is stopped, and only the hammer action is active.
  • Chisel Alignment Adjustment: Allows continuous adjustment of the chisel's angle without engaging the hammer mechanism.

5.2 Speed Control

The tool features a speed adjustment wheel on the auxiliary handle to limit the rotational speed, providing better control for different materials and applications.

5.3 Starting and Stopping

To start the tool, press the ON/OFF switch. To stop, release the switch. For continuous operation, press the ON/OFF switch and then the lock-on button (if available). To release, press the ON/OFF switch again.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Keep the ventilation slots of the tool clean to prevent overheating. Regularly clean the tool housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents. Clean the SDS chuck regularly to ensure smooth operation.
