3. Product Overview

3.1. Buttons and Display

Familiarize yourself with the buttons located on the top of the alarm clock and the display indicators.

  • TIME SET Button: Press to enter time setting mode.
  • ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 Buttons: Press to set or activate/deactivate respective alarms.
  • SNOOZE Button: Press to activate snooze during an alarm.
  • BRIGHTNESS Button: Adjusts display brightness.
  • UP / DOWN Buttons: Used to adjust values during setting modes.

4. Setup

4.1. Power Connection

The HOMVILLA Digital Mirror Alarm Clock requires continuous power via the included USB cable and adapter. The backup battery only preserves settings during power outages and does not power the display.

  1. Connect the USB power cable to the alarm clock.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.

4.2. Backup Battery Installation

Install the CR2032 battery to ensure your time and alarm settings are retained if power is interrupted.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the alarm clock.
  2. Open the compartment cover.
  3. Insert the CR2032 battery with the correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

4.3. Placement Options

The alarm clock can be placed on a tabletop using its base or mounted on a wall.

  • Tabletop: Attach the provided base and place the clock on a flat surface.
  • Wall-mounted: Remove the base and use the hanging hole on the back to mount it on a wall (mounting hardware not included).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Setting the Time

  1. Press and hold the TIME SET button until the hour digits flash.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press TIME SET again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting.
  4. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the minutes.
  5. Press TIME SET to confirm and exit time setting mode.

5.2. 12H/24H Format

To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats:

  • In normal time display mode, press the UP button to toggle between 12H and 24H.
  • In 12H mode, 'AM' or 'PM' will be displayed.

5.3. Setting Alarms (Dual Alarms)

The clock features two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2) with three scheduling options.

  1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the hour digits flash.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
  3. Press the respective ALARM button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting.
  4. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
  5. Press the respective ALARM button again to confirm minutes and select the alarm schedule:
    • 1-5: Monday to Friday
    • 6-7: Saturday to Sunday
    • 1-7: Monday to Sunday (Daily)
  6. Press the respective ALARM button one last time to confirm the schedule and exit alarm setting mode.

To activate/deactivate an alarm, short press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

5.4. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button on top of the clock to temporarily silence the alarm for 5 minutes. The alarm will sound again after 5 minutes. To turn off the alarm completely, press any other button.

5.5. Adjusting Brightness

The alarm clock offers 6 levels of adjustable brightness for the LED display.

  • In normal time display mode, short press the BRIGHTNESS button repeatedly to cycle through the 6 brightness levels.
  • Select the level that best suits your environment and preference.

5.6. USB Charging Ports

The alarm clock is equipped with two USB output ports on the right side, allowing you to charge other electronic devices.

  • Connect your device's USB charging cable to one of the USB output ports on the alarm clock.
  • The output is 5V/1A. Note that charging speed may vary depending on the device.

6. Maintenance

  • Clean the mirror display and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Keep the device away from water and other liquids.
  • If the backup battery needs replacement, use a CR2032 type battery.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Display is off: Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected to both the clock and the power adapter, and the adapter is plugged into a working outlet. The backup battery only saves settings, it does not power the display.
  • Alarm not sounding: Check if the alarm is activated (alarm icon visible on display). Verify the alarm time and schedule are set correctly.
  • Time is incorrect: Re-enter the time using the TIME SET button as described in section 5.1.
  • USB charging not working: Ensure the alarm clock is powered on. Check the charging cable of your device. The output is 5V/1A, some devices may charge slower or require higher current.
