1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1 Assembly

1. Place the main feeder unit on a flat, stable surface.
2. Insert the food tray into the designated slot at the bottom front of the feeder.
3. Place the stainless steel bowl into the food tray.

4.2 Power Supply

The feeder can be powered by the included AC adapter or by D batteries for backup.

• AC Adapter: Plug the power adapter into the DC port on the back of the feeder, then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
• Battery Backup: For power outages, install 3 x D alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the bottom of the feeder. This ensures continuous operation.

4.3 Filling the Food Tank

1. Open the top lid of the feeder.
2. Insert the desiccant bag into the designated slot under the lid to keep food fresh.
3. Pour dry pet food into the food tank. Ensure the kibble size is between 2-16mm (0.07-0.6 inches) to prevent clogging.
4. Close the lid securely until you hear a click. The lid is designed to lock to prevent pets from opening it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel features an LCD display and several buttons for programming:

• SET: Enter programming mode or confirm settings.
• UP/DOWN Arrows: Navigate menus and adjust values.
• REC: Record or play voice message.
• PLAY: Play recorded voice message.
• FEED: Manually dispense one portion of food.

5.2 Setting Current Time

1. Press and hold the SET button until the hour digit flashes.
2. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the hour.
3. Press SET to confirm and move to minutes.
4. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the minutes.
5. Press SET to save the current time.

5.3 Setting Feeding Schedule

You can program up to 4 meals per day with adjustable portion sizes.

1. Press SET once to enter meal setting mode (M1 will flash).
2. Use UP/DOWN arrows to select the meal number (M1-M4).
3. Press SET to set the meal time. Adjust hour and minute using UP/DOWN arrows, confirming each with SET.
4. After setting the time, the portion number will flash. Use UP/DOWN arrows to set the desired portions (1-20).
5. Press SET to confirm the portions for the current meal.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 for additional meals (M2, M3, M4) as needed. If a meal is not set, it will not dispense.

5.4 Voice Recording

Record a 10-second voice message that will play at each scheduled feeding time.

1. Press and hold the REC button until you hear a beep.
2. Speak your message into the microphone (located near the control panel).
3. Release the REC button when finished.
4. Press the PLAY button to listen to your recorded message.

5.5 Manual Feeding

To dispense food manually, simply press the FEED button. Each press will dispense one portion.

5.6 Portion Calculation Reference

Use the following table as a reference for calculating portions. Note that 1 portion is approximately 2.5 tsp or 1/20 cup.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning Instructions

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and optimal performance of your feeder.

1. Unplug the feeder and remove any batteries.
2. Remove the food tank, lid, food tray, and stainless steel bowl.
3. Wash the food tank, lid, food tray, and stainless steel bowl with mild soap and water.
4. Rinse thoroughly and ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.
5. DO NOT wash the main base unit. Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth only.
6. Replace the desiccant bag every 1-2 months for optimal food freshness.
