3.1 Powering On and Connection Methods

The PocketDrum 2 Plus offers multiple ways to connect and play:

1. Connection Via App:
   • Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and open the AeroBand App.
   • Power on the air drumsticks and pedals. Connect them via Bluetooth within the AeroBand App.
   • Calibrate the drumsticks and enjoy drumming in different App modes.
2. Connection Via Speaker:
   • Power on the adapter and connect it to a speaker or headphone AUX port via the 'Line Out' port.
   • Power on the air drumsticks and pedals. Connect them to the adapter via Bluetooth.
   • Calibrate the drumsticks and enjoy drumming freely.
3. Connection Via Phone (with Adapter):
   • Power on the adapter and connect it into a speaker AUX port.
   • Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and connect to the adapter.
   • Power on the air drumsticks and pedals. Connect them to the adapter via Bluetooth.
   • Calibrate the drumsticks and enjoy drumming with your favorite songs on your phone.

3.2 Drumstick Calibration

To ensure precise positioning and optimal performance, calibrate the drumsticks by following these steps:

1. Position the two drumstick tips at a 45-degree angle, with the drumsticks parallel to the ground.
2. Hold the power button on the drumsticks, keeping your forearm and the back of your hand level.
3. Place the drumsticks in front of your abdomen, parallel to the ground.
4. Simultaneously long-press the power button on both drumsticks.
5. Calibration of the drumsticks is complete.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Locating Drum Positions

After calibrating the drumsticks, follow these steps to locate the virtual drum positions:

1. Begin by tapping in front of you to trigger the Snare (position 1).
2. Lift both drumsticks up: use the left drumstick to tap for the High-Tom (position 2), and the right drumstick to tap for the Mid-Tom (position 3).
3. Move the left drumstick to the left and tap for the Hi-Hat (position 4).
4. Shift the right drumstick to the right and tap for the Crash Cymbal (position 5).
5. Tap with your left foot to trigger the Hi-Hat pedal (position 6), while simultaneously moving the left drumstick downwards to tap for the Hi-Hat.
6. Position the right drumstick to the lower right and tap for the Floor Tom (position 7).
7. Tap with your right foot to activate the Bass Drum pedal (position 8).

The Air Drum recognizes drum positions based on the angle of the drumsticks. When searching for positions below the drums, avoid lifting the drumstick heads too high.

4.2 App Modes and MIDI Function

The AeroBand App offers various modes to enhance your drumming experience:

• Rhythm Practice: Guided exercises to improve your rhythm.
• Free Practice: Play freely without constraints.
• Drum Position Practice: Learn and master the virtual drum positions.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Charging

All components of the PocketDrum 2 Plus (drumsticks, pedals, and adapter) come with charging ports and a USB charger. The included USB charger allows simultaneous charging of both drumsticks and both pedals.

5.2 General Care

• Avoid throwing or rotating the drumsticks with your fingers during use to prevent confusion in drum hits.
• After confirming the position of each drum hit, do not expand the area for drumming to prevent disorganized hit locations.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Clean the surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter connection issues, please follow the instructions below:

6.1 Foot Pedal Connection Issues

• Place the adapter and the foot pedal close to each other, keeping the distance within 1 meter and without solid body objects blocked.
• Ensure no body parts or other 11.8 inches thick objects obstruct the space between the adapter and the foot pedal, as such obstructions can significantly affect signal transmission.

6.2 Drumstick Connection Issues

• Keep the distance between the adapter and the drumsticks within 2 meters.
• Ensure no high-power objects block the space between them to avoid affecting signal transmission, such as wireless routers, microwave ovens, refrigerators, or high-frequency radios.

6.3 General Connection Tips

• Electromagnetic interference or physical obstacles may interfere with the Bluetooth signal, leading to connection failure.
• Make sure no other high-power wireless devices operate on the same frequency nearby, and try to avoid placing the devices near metal objects.
• Use Bluetooth in the AeroBand app, not the Bluetooth in your device's system. If you're using an Android device, turn on GPS.
• Keep your PocketDrum close to your device (the one with the AeroBand app). If you've tried the above steps and still can't link your PocketDrum to the app, exit and re-enter the AeroBand app.

6.4 Battery Level Check

If the battery levels of your product devices are lower than 20%, it may cause signal connection failure. Ensure the device is charged and has sufficient battery (more than 20%), especially after first receiving the product.
