Cleaning Your Device

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and body of your phone. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the device's finish. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water.

Software Updates

Regularly check for software updates to ensure your device has the latest features and security patches. Go to Settings > System > System update to check for and install available updates. Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has sufficient battery life before starting an update.

Battery Care

To prolong the life of your 5000mAh battery, avoid exposing the phone to extreme temperatures. It is recommended to keep the battery charge between 20% and 80% for optimal long-term health. Avoid leaving the phone plugged in for extended periods after it has reached 100% charge.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Motorola Moto G 5G, try the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Device Not Responding: Press and hold the Power button for about 10-15 seconds to force a restart.
  • Network Issues: Ensure your SIM card is properly inserted. Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off. If issues persist, contact your mobile carrier.
  • App Freezing/Crashing: Close the problematic app and reopen it. If the issue continues, clear the app's cache and data via Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage & cache.
  • Slow Performance: Free up storage space by deleting unnecessary files or apps. Consider restarting your device regularly.
  • "Locked" SIM Card: Some renewed phones may require specific carrier unlocking. If your SIM card is not recognized or the phone indicates it is locked, contact the seller or your carrier for assistance.

For more complex issues, a factory reset may be necessary. This will erase all data on your phone, so ensure you back up important information first. Navigate to Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
