Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures your Shark ION Robotic Vacuum operates efficiently. Always turn off the robot before performing any maintenance.
Emptying the Dust Bin
Empty the dust bin after each cleaning cycle or when it appears full. Press the dust bin release button, slide out the bin, and empty its contents into a trash receptacle.
Cleaning the Filter
The filter should be cleaned weekly. Remove the filter from the dust bin and tap it gently over a trash can to remove debris. Rinse the filter with water if necessary, but ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
Cleaning the Brushes
- Main Brushroll: Remove the brushroll cover and lift out the brushroll. Use the cleaning tool (if provided) or scissors to cut away any hair or debris wrapped around it.
- Side Brushes: Periodically check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Gently pull them off to clean and reattach.
Cleaning Sensors and Charging Pads
Wipe the cliff sensors, bumper sensors, and charging pads on both the robot and the dock with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper function.
