- Loosen the mounting screws on the cantilever rail mount using an appropriate tool.
- Position the sight onto your firearm's Picatinny rail at your desired location, ensuring proper eye relief.

3. Initial Zeroing
After mounting, the sight must be zeroed to your firearm for accurate aiming. This process involves adjusting the windage and elevation to align the point of aim with the point of impact.
- With the sight powered on, aim at a target at a known distance (e.g., 25 or 50 yards).
- Fire a group of shots.
- Use the slotted adjustment tool (integrated into the turret caps) to adjust windage (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) in 1/2-MOA increments.
- Adjust the turrets in the direction you want the bullet impact to move. For example, if shots are hitting low and left, adjust elevation UP and windage RIGHT.
- Repeat firing and adjusting until the point of aim matches the point of impact.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Lenses
To maintain optical clarity, keep the lenses clean. Use a soft, lint-free cloth, such as a microfiber cloth, to gently wipe away dust and smudges. For more persistent marks, apply a small amount of lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optics to the cloth, then gently clean the lenses. Avoid using abrasive materials, paper towels, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch or damage the lens coatings.
2. Cleaning the Exterior
The exterior of the sight can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Ensure that all caps (battery cap, turret caps) are securely closed to prevent moisture from entering the internal components. Dry the sight thoroughly after cleaning.
3. Battery Replacement
Replace the AAA battery when the green dot appears dim, flickers, or if the sight fails to power on. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup Instructions for detailed steps.
4. Storage
When not in use, store the TRUGLO Ignite sight in a cool, dry environment. For prolonged storage, it is recommended to remove the AAA battery to prevent potential leakage and damage to the electronics.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TRUGLO Ignite dot sight, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Dot not visible or dim:
- Check if the sight is powered on.
- Verify the battery is correctly installed with the positive (+) end facing outwards.
- The battery may be low or depleted. Replace with a fresh 1.5V AAA battery.
- Adjust the brightness settings using the + button.
- Dot flickers or is inconsistent:
- The battery may be low. Replace the AAA battery.
- Ensure the battery cap is securely tightened to maintain proper contact.
- Sight not holding zero:
- Ensure the mounting screws for the cantilever rail mount are tightened securely to the Picatinny rail.
- Check for any movement of the sight on the rail.
- Verify that the windage and elevation turret caps are tightened after making adjustments.
- Internal fogging:
- The sight is nitrogen gas-filled and designed to be fogproof. If internal fogging occurs, this may indicate a seal compromise. Contact TRUGLO customer support for assistance.
- External fogging can be wiped away with a clean, soft cloth.
