5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the machine for any shipping damage. If damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact customer support. Allow the ice maker to stand upright for a minimum of 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
5.2 Placement
- Place the ice maker on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight when full of ice and water.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Maintain at least 6 inches (15 cm) of clearance on all sides and the top for proper airflow.
- Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.
- The ambient temperature should be between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C).
5.3 Water Connection
The ice maker requires a continuous water supply and a drain. Ensure both are accessible near the installation site.
- Connect the provided water filter to the cold water supply line.
- Attach one end of the water supply hose to the water filter outlet and the other end to the water inlet valve on the back of the ice maker. Tighten all connections securely to prevent leaks.
- Connect the drain hose to the drain outlet on the ice maker and route it to a floor drain or suitable drainage system. Ensure the drain hose has a continuous downward slope for gravity drainage.
5.4 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a dedicated, grounded 110V/60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapters.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ice maker.
7.1 Automatic Cleaning Cycle
Utilize the 'Clean Setting' (5) on the control panel to initiate an automatic cleaning cycle. This helps to remove mineral buildup and maintain hygiene. It is recommended to run this cycle periodically, especially if the ice production rate decreases or ice quality changes.
7.2 Regular Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Interior: Periodically clean the ice storage bin with a solution of water and mild disinfectant. Rinse thoroughly.
- Condenser: The air-cooled condenser fins should be cleaned regularly (monthly or bi-monthly) to ensure efficient heat dissipation. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris.
7.3 Water Filter Replacement
The included water filter helps to improve ice quality and protect the machine from scale buildup. Replace the water filter every 3-6 months, or as indicated by reduced water flow or ice quality.
