3. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for proper installation of your Korky QuietFILL Platinum Toilet Fill Valve:
- Turn Off Water Supply: Locate the water supply valve at the base of your toilet and turn it clockwise until the water flow stops. Flush the toilet to drain the tank.
- Remove Old Fill Valve: Disconnect the water supply line from the bottom of the old fill valve. Use a wrench if necessary. Inside the tank, unscrew the mounting nut holding the old fill valve in place. Remove the old fill valve and refill tube.
- Prepare New Fill Valve: The Korky QuietFILL Platinum fill valve is adjustable in height. To adjust, twist the lower shaft to unlock, extend or retract to the desired height (between 7-3/4 inches and 13-1/2 inches), and then twist to lock. The top of the fill valve should be approximately 1 inch above the overflow pipe.
- Install New Fill Valve: Insert the new Korky fill valve into the hole at the bottom of the toilet tank. Ensure the cone washer is properly seated on the shank. Secure it from underneath the tank with the coupling nut, hand-tightening until snug. Do not overtighten.
- Connect Refill Tube: Attach one end of the refill tube to the small port on the top of the fill valve. Use the metal refill tube clip to secure the other end of the refill tube to the top of the overflow pipe. Ensure the refill tube is not kinked and allows water to flow into the overflow pipe.
- Reconnect Water Supply: Reconnect the water supply line to the bottom of the new fill valve. Hand-tighten the connection.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn the water supply valve counter-clockwise to restore water flow to the toilet tank. Check for any leaks at the connections.

4. Operation and Water Level Adjustment
The Korky QuietFILL Platinum fill valve is designed to deliver the correct amount of water to the toilet bowl, maintaining original performance. The water level in the tank is controlled by the height of the fill valve and the refill adjuster.
- Adjusting Tank Water Level: The water level in the tank is determined by the overall height of the fill valve. Ensure the water level is at the manufacturer's recommended fill line for your toilet tank, typically marked inside the tank. If no line is present, the water level should be approximately 1 inch below the top of the overflow pipe. Adjust the fill valve height as described in Step 3 of the Installation section to achieve the desired water level.
- Adjusting Bowl Refill: The refill adjuster on the fill valve controls the amount of water directed into the overflow pipe to refill the toilet bowl. Use the provided tamper-proof key to adjust the refill rate. Turn the adjuster clockwise to decrease the refill rate or counter-clockwise to increase it. Proper bowl refill ensures a complete flush.

5. Maintenance
