Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Airmega AIM.
6.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement
The Airmega AIM features a filter replacement indicator that will illuminate when it's time to clean or replace filters.
- Vacuumable Pre-Filter: This filter captures large dust particles, hair, and pet dander. It should be cleaned regularly (e.g., every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage and air quality) using a vacuum cleaner.
- True HEPA (H13) Filter & Deodorization Filter: These filters are integrated and cannot be separated. They trap fine dust, allergens, germs, mold, pollen, odors, and VOCs. These filters are not washable and must be replaced when the indicator light signals or approximately every 6-12 months, depending on usage.
Filter Replacement Steps:
- Step 1: When the filter alert button is on, it indicates filter maintenance is required.
- Step 2: Turn the lid on the backside of the unit counter-clockwise to open.
- Step 3: Remove the old filter set and replace it with a new, genuine COWAY filter.
- Step 4: Close the lid by twisting clockwise until secure. Press and hold the filter alert button for 3 seconds to reset the filter life indicator.
