1. Introduction

The COWAY Airmega AIM is a versatile 2-in-1 air purifier and fan designed to enhance your indoor air quality and comfort. It features a multi-stage filtration system, intelligent air quality monitoring, and flexible air direction control to provide clean and fresh air in spaces up to 246 sq. ft.

2. Safety Information

To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, and injury, please observe the following safety precautions:

• Always unplug the unit before cleaning, performing maintenance, or when not in use.
• Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, contact customer support.
• Do not block air inlets or outlets. Ensure adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
• Keep the unit away from water or other liquids. Do not use in wet environments like bathrooms.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Use only genuine COWAY replacement filters. Using non-genuine filters may void your warranty and affect performance.
• Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the air inlets or outlets.
• Place the unit on a stable, level surface.

4. Setup and Filter Installation

Your Airmega AIM unit comes with filters pre-installed, but they may be wrapped in plastic for shipping. Please follow these steps before first use:

1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
2. Access the Filter Compartment: Locate the filter compartment on the back of the unit. Gently twist the back cover counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
3. Remove Filter Packaging: Take out the filter set. The 3-in-1 filter (Pre-Filter, True HEPA, Deodorization) is integrated. Remove all plastic packaging from the filter.
4. Install Filters: Insert the unwrapped filter set back into the unit. Ensure it is seated correctly. The pre-filter should be facing outwards.
5. Replace Cover: Align the back cover with the unit and twist clockwise to lock it securely in place.
6. Position the Unit: Place the Airmega AIM on a flat, stable surface, ensuring there is at least 6 inches of clear space around all sides for optimal airflow.
7. Plug In: Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Airmega AIM can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

5.1 Control Panel and Remote Control Overview

5.2 Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.

5.3 Fan Speed Adjustment

Press the Fan Speed button repeatedly to cycle through fan speeds: 1 (Low), 2 (Medium), 3 (High).

5.4 Auto Mode

In Auto Mode, the unit automatically adjusts fan speed based on real-time air quality detected by its sensor. This ensures energy efficiency while maintaining optimal air purification.

• Press the Auto Mode button to activate Auto Mode.
• The air quality indicator lights will change color (Blue: Good, Green: Moderate, Yellow: Unhealthy, Red: Very Unhealthy) to reflect current air quality.

5.5 Oscillation and Tilt

The Airmega AIM offers dynamic air direction control:

• Auto Oscillation: Press the Oscillation button to enable or disable automatic horizontal oscillation up to 80 degrees.
• Multi-Angle Vertical Tilt: Manually adjust the fan head vertically up to 90 degrees to direct airflow precisely where needed.

5.6 Timer Function

Set the unit to operate for a specific duration:

• Press the Timer button repeatedly to select a desired operating time from 1 to 24 hours. The unit will automatically turn off after the set time.

5.7 Light On/Off and Auto Dim

Control the display light for comfortable use, especially at night:

• Press the Light button to turn the display lights on or off.
• The unit also features an Auto Dim function, which automatically dims the display lights in dark environments.

5.8 Control Panel Lock

To prevent accidental changes to settings, especially useful with children or pets:

• Press and hold the Control Panel Lock button (visible on the control panel in the overview image) for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the lock. A lock icon will appear on the display when activated.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Airmega AIM.

6.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement

The Airmega AIM features a filter replacement indicator that will illuminate when it's time to clean or replace filters.

• Vacuumable Pre-Filter: This filter captures large dust particles, hair, and pet dander. It should be cleaned regularly (e.g., every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage and air quality) using a vacuum cleaner.
• True HEPA (H13) Filter & Deodorization Filter: These filters are integrated and cannot be separated. They trap fine dust, allergens, germs, mold, pollen, odors, and VOCs. These filters are not washable and must be replaced when the indicator light signals or approximately every 6-12 months, depending on usage.

Filter Replacement Steps:

1. Step 1: When the filter alert button is on, it indicates filter maintenance is required.
2. Step 2: Turn the lid on the backside of the unit counter-clockwise to open.
3. Step 3: Remove the old filter set and replace it with a new, genuine COWAY filter.
4. Step 4: Close the lid by twisting clockwise until secure. Press and hold the filter alert button for 3 seconds to reset the filter life indicator.

6.2 Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
