Maintenance
Emptying the Dust Bin (Dry Vacuuming)
Empty the dust bin as soon as the dirt reaches the MAX level – do not overfill.

Cleaning the Wet Roller Head
After each wet cleaning session, it is crucial to clean the wet roller head and empty the dirty water tank.
- Remove the wet roller head from the wand.

- Remove the roller brush from the head. Rinse the roller brush under running water until clean.
- Allow all components to air dry completely before reassembling.

Your Dyson V12S is equipped with a HEPA filter. For optimal performance, wash the filter at least once a month, or more frequently if used heavily.
- Locate the filter on the top of the main body.
- Twist and pull to remove the filter.
- Wash the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents.
- Tap the filter gently to remove excess water.
- Leave the filter to dry completely for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry place. Do not dry in a tumble dryer, microwave, or near a naked flame.
- Ensure the filter is completely dry before replacing it in the machine.
