Operating Instructions
Making Espresso
- Prepare Coffee Grounds: Use fresh, finely ground coffee. For best results, grind beans just before brewing.
- Fill Portafilter: Place the desired filter basket (single or double) into the portafilter. Fill with ground coffee. Use the measuring spoon for accurate dosing.
- Tamp Coffee: Use the tamper end of the measuring spoon to firmly tamp the coffee grounds. Ensure the surface is level.
- Attach Portafilter: Align the portafilter with the group head on the machine. Insert it and twist firmly to the right until it is securely locked.
- Pre-heat: Ensure the machine is pre-heated (indicator lights solid).
- Brew Espresso: Place your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray under the portafilter spouts. Press the single shot or double shot button. The machine will pre-infuse the coffee, then extract the espresso.

The machine features an advanced brew program that pre-infuses the ground coffee and precisely controls water flow for optimal flavor. You can customize the water amount for bolder or lighter coffee by holding down the brew button until the desired volume is reached, then releasing it to save the setting.

- Remove Portafilter: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the portafilter by twisting it to the left. Discard the used coffee grounds.
Frothing Milk
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (whole milk is recommended for best results). Do not fill more than halfway.
- Activate Steam Function: Press the STEAM button. The steam indicator light will flash as the machine heats up for steaming. Once the light becomes solid, it's ready.
- Purge Steam Wand: Position the steam wand over the drip tray. Turn the steam control knob counter-clockwise to release a small amount of steam to clear any condensed water. Turn the knob clockwise to close.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Turn the steam control knob counter-clockwise to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down slowly to create foam. For latte art, aim for a silky, microfoam texture.

- Stop Steaming: Once desired foam is achieved, turn the steam control knob clockwise to close. Remove the pitcher.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Purge a small amount of steam again to clear the nozzle.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your espresso machine.
- Daily Cleaning:
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray after each use or when the indicator floats up. Wash with warm soapy water and rinse.
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: Remove used coffee grounds. Rinse the portafilter and filter baskets under running water. Use a brush if necessary to remove stubborn residue.
- Steam Wand: As mentioned, wipe immediately after frothing. Use the clean needle to clear any blockages in the steam nozzle if steam flow is reduced.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Water Reservoir: Clean the water reservoir periodically with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly to prevent mineral buildup.
- Descaling: Mineral deposits from water can build up inside the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Use a descaling solution (like the provided citric acid) or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the portafilter and steam wand.
- Run several brewing cycles (without coffee) until half of the solution is used.
- Run the steam function until the remaining solution is used.
- Rinse the water reservoir and fill with fresh water. Run several cycles of fresh water through both the brew head and steam wand to rinse thoroughly.
