5. Setup (Installation)

Before you begin: Ensure you have the necessary tools (e.g., drill, level, screwdriver) and that your wall is compatible (solid concrete, brick, or wood studs).

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable location on your wall, considering viewing height and arm extension.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: Use the provided drilling template (if included) or the wall plate itself to mark the drilling points on the wall. Use a level to ensure accuracy.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. The size of the drill bit will depend on your wall type and the anchors provided.
  4. Install Wall Plate: Insert wall anchors (if required) into the drilled holes. Secure the wall plate to the wall using the appropriate screws and washers from the mounting hardware kit. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  5. Attach VESA Plate to Monitor: Carefully attach the VESA plate to the back of your monitor using the screws that fit your monitor's VESA pattern. Ensure the screws are tightened securely but do not overtighten.
  6. Mount Monitor: With assistance, carefully lift the monitor with the attached VESA plate and hook it onto the arm's mounting head. Secure it in place according to the instructions for the quick-release mechanism.
  7. Cable Management: Route your monitor cables through the integrated cable management channels on the arm to maintain a tidy workspace.

6. Operating (Adjustments)

The ELIVED EV6023 offers a range of adjustments to achieve your desired viewing angle and ergonomic posture:

  • Height Adjustment: The gas spring mechanism allows for smooth vertical movement of your monitor. Push or pull the monitor up or down to adjust its height. You may need to adjust the gas spring tension (see Maintenance section) for optimal balance.
  • Tilt: The monitor can be tilted +90° (upward) to -90° (downward) to reduce glare and find a comfortable vertical angle.
  • Swivel: Swivel the monitor left or right up to 90° at the VESA plate, and the arm itself can swivel 180° at its joint with the wall plate.
  • Rotation: Rotate your monitor 360° from landscape to portrait orientation at the VESA plate. The arm also offers 270° rotation at its joint.
  • Arm Extension: Extend or retract the arm to adjust the distance of your monitor from the wall, ranging from 85 mm to 550 mm.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Check Connections: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
  • Gas Spring Tension Adjustment: If your monitor sags or does not stay in position, the gas spring tension may need adjustment. Use the provided Allen key to turn the adjustment screw (usually located on the arm) clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors, or counter-clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors. Adjust gradually until the monitor holds its position.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Monitor Sags or Won't Stay Up: The gas spring tension is likely too low for your monitor's weight. Increase the gas spring tension as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Monitor is Difficult to Move Up/Down: The gas spring tension might be too high. Decrease the gas spring tension as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Monitor is Not Level: Check the VESA plate attachment to the monitor and the connection to the arm. Ensure all screws are tightened evenly.
  • Arm Feels Loose: Check all mounting screws on the wall plate and arm joints. Tighten any loose connections.
