Filter Replacement
The Activated Carbon Rod Filter (CF Filter) should be replaced approximately every 6 months. The actual service life can vary depending on your local water quality and usage patterns. Regular replacement ensures optimal filtration performance.
Replacement Procedure:
- Prepare for Replacement: Ensure the main water supply to your Reverse Osmosis system is turned off before attempting to replace the filter.
- Remove Old Filter: To remove the old CF filter, gently lift and rotate the filter counter-clockwise until it unlocks and can be pulled out.
- Install New Filter: Insert the new Activated Carbon Rod Filter into the designated slot. Align the filter correctly and press it in.
- Lock New Filter: Rotate the new filter clockwise until it clicks into a locked position. Ensure it is securely seated to prevent leaks.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn the main water supply back on. Check for any leaks around the newly installed filter.
- Reset Filter Indicator (if applicable): Refer to your main Reverse Osmosis system's manual for specific instructions on how to manually reset the filter life indicator after replacement.

Troubleshooting
- Filter Life Indicator Not Resetting: If your system's filter life indicator does not reset after installing a new filter, consult your main Reverse Osmosis system's user manual for specific instructions on how to manually reset the indicator. This often involves pressing and holding a reset button for a few seconds.
- Water Leakage After Replacement: Ensure the new filter is correctly seated and fully rotated into the locked position. Check the O-rings for any damage or misalignment. If issues persist, turn off the water supply and re-install the filter carefully.
- Reduced Water Flow: A new filter should improve water flow. If flow is still reduced, ensure the filter is installed correctly and that there are no air pockets in the system. Run the system for a few minutes to purge any trapped air.
- Unusual Taste or Odor: After installing a new filter, it is recommended to flush the system by running water through it for several minutes (e.g., 5-10 minutes) to remove any carbon fines or air. If the taste or odor persists, ensure the filter is genuine and correctly installed.
