4. Setup and Assembly

The Heybike Mars Electric Bike comes largely pre-assembled. Minimal setup is required before your first ride.

4.1 Unfolding the Bike

1. Place the folded bike on a stable surface.
2. Release the frame folding latch, typically located on the main frame tube. Carefully unfold the frame until it locks into place. Ensure the latch is securely fastened.
3. Raise the handlebar stem and secure it with the quick-release lever. Ensure the safety latch is engaged.
4. Adjust the handlebar height and angle for comfortable riding, then tighten all quick-release levers.
5. Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the seat height. Secure it with the quick-release lever.
6. Unfold the pedals if they are in a folded position.

4.2 Battery Installation and Charging

The 48V 12.5Ah battery may be partially charged upon arrival. Fully charge the battery before your first ride.

• Installation: Insert the battery into its compartment on the frame and push firmly until it clicks into place. Use the key to lock the battery securely.
• Charging: Connect the charger to the charging port on the battery (either on or off the bike). Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet. The indicator light on the charger will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
• First Charge: Allow 5-7 hours for the initial full charge.

4.3 Tire Inflation

The 20" x 4.0" fat tires require specific pressure. Check the sidewall of the tire for the recommended PSI range. Inflate tires using a suitable pump.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

5.2 Riding Modes

The Heybike Mars offers three riding modes:

• Pedal Assist Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel to adjust the level of assistance (typically 1-5).

To fold the bike for storage or transport, reverse the unfolding steps. Ensure all latches are securely fastened in the folded position.
