4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Igniting the Torch
- Ensure you are in a safe, well-ventilated outdoor area, clear of flammable materials.
- Slowly turn the flame adjustment knob counter-clockwise by approximately 1/8 of a turn to release a small amount of gas. You should hear a faint hiss.
- Press the red ignition button firmly to ignite the gas. If the torch does not light, close the valve, wait a few seconds, and repeat the process.
- Once ignited, adjust the flame to the desired size using the flame adjustment knob.
4.2 Using the Torch
The Flame King Propane Torch is suitable for various applications:
- Weed Control: Direct the flame at the base of weeds for a few seconds until they wilt. This method destroys the plant's cell structure without chemicals.
- Melting Ice: Use the flame to quickly melt ice on sidewalks, driveways, or steps.
- Lighting BBQs/Fires: Safely ignite charcoal or wood in BBQs, fire pits, or campfires.
- Other Uses: Can be used for tasks like removing paint or thawing frozen pipes (use extreme caution and ensure proper ventilation).

- Allow the torch to cool completely before storing or detaching the propane cylinder.
- Once cool, carefully detach the propane cylinder by unscrewing it counter-clockwise.
