2. Safety Information

4.1 Top Panel Controls

- Power Button: Turns the device on/off.

4.2 Rear Panel Connections

5. Setup
5.1 Power Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the DIGITRADIO 53 BT.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- The device will power on or enter standby mode.
5.2 Initial Setup and Time Synchronization
Upon first power-on, the device will typically perform an automatic scan for DAB+ stations and synchronize the time.
- Press the Power Button to turn on the radio.
- The radio will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations and set the time and date. This may take a few minutes.
- If automatic synchronization fails, you may need to set the time manually via the menu settings. Refer to Section 6.4.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off and Standby
- Press the Power Button (⏻) to turn the radio on or off.
- In standby mode, the display will show the current time.
6.2 Mode Selection (DAB+, FM, Bluetooth)
- Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: DAB+ Radio, FM Radio, and Bluetooth.
6.3 Radio Operation (DAB+ and FM)
- Select either DAB+ or FM mode using the MODE button.
- Scanning for Stations: Press the SCAN button to automatically search for available stations.
- Manual Tuning (FM): Use the Left/Right Arrow buttons to manually tune to a specific frequency.
- Preset Stations:
- Saving a Preset: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the PRESET button. Use the Left/Right Arrow buttons to select a preset number (1-30 for DAB+, 1-30 for FM), then press SNOOZE/OK to confirm.
- Recalling a Preset: Press the PRESET button briefly. Use the Left/Right Arrow buttons to select the desired preset, then press SNOOZE/OK.
6.4 Bluetooth Audio Streaming
- Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "Bluetooth Pairing" or similar.
- On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for "DIGITRADIO 53 BT".
- Select "DIGITRADIO 53 BT" to pair. Once connected, you can stream audio from your device to the radio.
- Use the SNOOZE/OK button to play/pause audio.
6.5 Alarm Settings
The DIGITRADIO 53 BT supports two independent alarm times.
- Press the Alarm Button (⏰).
- Use the Left/Right Arrow buttons to select Alarm 1 or Alarm 2, then press SNOOZE/OK.
- Configure the following settings using the Left/Right Arrow buttons and confirming with SNOOZE/OK:
- Alarm Time: Set the desired wake-up time.
- Alarm Source: Choose between DAB+ radio, FM radio, or a buzzer sound.
- Alarm Volume: Set the desired alarm volume.
- Alarm Frequency: Select "Once", "Daily", "Weekdays", or "Weekends".
- Ensure the alarm is enabled after configuration.
6.6 Snooze and Sleep Timer
- Snooze: When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/OK button to temporarily silence the alarm for a set period (e.g., 9 minutes).
- Sleep Timer: Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to set a sleep timer (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 90 minutes, or Off). The radio will automatically turn off after the selected duration.
6.7 Display Brightness (Dimmer)
The DIGITRADIO 53 BT features an automatic light sensor and manual dimmer control.
- Automatic Dimming: The built-in light sensor automatically adjusts the display brightness based on ambient light conditions.
- Manual Dimming: Press the DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through different brightness levels or to override the automatic sensor.
6.8 USB Charging
- Connect your smartphone or other USB-powered device to the USB (5V 1A) port on the rear of the radio using a compatible USB cable.
- The radio will provide power to charge your device.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the radio. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from the power supply and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to maintain proper airflow.
8. Troubleshooting
