Setup Instructions

1. Kayak Inflation

The kayak features a 3-chamber air structure for enhanced safety and stability. Ensure the kayak is placed on a clean, flat surface before inflation.

  1. Unfold the kayak completely.
  2. Locate the inflation valves. The kayak has multiple air chambers: two side chambers and one high-pressure floor chamber.
  3. Open the valve cap and ensure the valve pin is in the "up" position for inflation.
  4. Connect the hand pump to the valve.
  5. Inflate the floor chamber first to a maximum pressure of 2.18 PSI (0.15 bar). The pressure gauge needle will move once the chamber begins to plump.
  6. Inflate the two side chambers to the recommended pressure.
  7. Once inflated, quickly twist and pull the pump hose straight out. The valve pin should automatically return to the "down" position, sealing the air.

  1. Locate the fin slots on the underside of the kayak.
  2. Slide each fin into its respective slot until it clicks securely into place.
  3. Ensure fins are firmly attached before launching.

Operating Instructions

The Goplus Inflatable Kayak is designed for stable and flexible rowing.

  • Launching: Carefully move the inflated kayak to the water using the four grab handles. Ensure the water depth is sufficient for the fins.
  • Paddling: Use the double-bladed aluminum paddles for propulsion. The kayak's design and fins contribute to straight tracking and easy maneuverability.
  • Footrests: Utilize the 3-level adjustable footrests to find a comfortable and efficient paddling position.
  • Safety: Always wear a personal flotation device (PFD) when using the kayak. Be aware of local regulations and water conditions.

Maintenance

Cleaning

After each use, rinse the kayak with fresh water to remove salt, sand, or dirt. Allow it to dry completely before deflating and storing.

Deflation and Storage

  1. To deflate, push down the valve pin and twist to lock it in the "down" (open) position. This allows air to escape rapidly.
  2. Once deflated, fold the kayak neatly.
  3. Store the kayak and all accessories in the provided carry bag.
  4. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Repair Kit

The included repair kit contains a wrench and patches for minor repairs. In case of a puncture, clean the area around the hole, apply the patch according to the instructions provided with the kit, and allow sufficient drying time before re-inflating.

Troubleshooting

  • Kayak not holding air: Check all valve caps to ensure they are tightly closed. Inspect the kayak surface for any punctures or leaks. Use the repair kit for minor damages.
  • Difficulty tracking straight: Ensure both fins are correctly installed and securely locked into their slots.
  • Paddles feel short: The paddles are adjustable. Ensure they are fully extended and locked at the desired length.
