7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Swudloe C7-01, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Video Signal:
- Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected to the correct IN/OUT ports.
- Verify the input source (console, camera) is powered on and outputting video.
- Check the resolution settings in your streaming software (e.g., OBS). The capture resolution should be less than or equal to the input resolution.
- Try a different HDMI cable or port on your source device/display.
- No Audio or Distorted Audio:
- Check audio settings in your operating system and streaming software (e.g., OBS Audio Mixer). Ensure 'C7 USB3.0 Audio' is selected as the input device.
- If using MIC IN, ensure the microphone is properly connected and selected in OBS.
- Some users report slight static in the background; ensure proper grounding and try different USB ports.
- Verify that the audio output mode in OBS is set to 'Monitor and Output' if you want to hear the audio through your computer.
- Lag or Dropped Frames:
- Ensure the capture card is connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer. USB 2.0 ports may limit performance.
- Check your computer's CPU usage. High CPU usage can cause lag. Close unnecessary applications.
- Lower the capture resolution or frame rate in your streaming software.
- Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for streaming/recording.
- Software Not Detecting Device:
- Restart your computer and the streaming software.
- Try connecting the capture card to a different USB port.
- Ensure your operating system drivers are up to date.
