5. Getting Started

5.1 Initial Setup and Factory Mode

Upon first use, the padlock is in factory mode. In this mode, any skin contact with the fingerprint sensor will unlock the padlock. It is crucial to register your administrator fingerprint immediately to secure the device.

5.2 Charging the Padlock

Before initial use, ensure the padlock is fully charged. Connect the padlock to a USB power source using a standard Micro-USB cable (not included). The indicator light will show charging status. A full charge can provide up to 12 months of standby time.

5.3 Adding Administrator Fingerprints (First Two Fingerprints)

The first two fingerprints registered will automatically be designated as administrator fingerprints. Administrators have the authority to add or delete other user fingerprints.

  1. Ensure the padlock is unlocked (in factory mode, any touch unlocks it).
  2. Press and hold your finger on the fingerprint sensor for approximately 5 seconds. The blue indicator light will turn on. Release your finger.
  3. Tap your finger on the sensor repeatedly (about 5-10 times) from different angles until the blue light turns off and the registration process stops. This indicates successful registration.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for a second administrator fingerprint, if desired.

  2. While the padlock is unlocked, press and hold an administrator's finger on the sensor for approximately 5 seconds until the blue indicator light turns on. Release the administrator's finger.
  3. Have the new user tap their finger on the sensor repeatedly (about 5-10 times) from different angles until the blue light turns off and the registration process stops.
  4. Repeat for other user fingerprints as needed, up to a total of 10 fingerprints (2 administrators + 8 users).

    • Verify that your fingerprint is registered. If not, register it as an administrator or user.
    • Check the battery level. If the red light flashes, recharge the padlock.

    • Try re-registering your fingerprint, ensuring you capture multiple angles during the process.
    • Ensure the sensor is clean and free of dirt or moisture.
  • Padlock unlocks with any touch (Factory Mode):
    • This indicates the padlock is in factory mode. You must register at least one administrator fingerprint to secure the device. Refer to Section 5.3.
  • Padlock is unresponsive:
    • The battery may be completely depleted. Charge the padlock for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use it again.
