Safety Information

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the monitor or sensors. This may void the warranty and cause damage.
  • Ensure all sensors are securely installed to prevent air leakage.
  • Keep the monitor away from excessive heat, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, and moisture.
  • Do not operate the device while driving. Always pull over to a safe location if you need to adjust settings or address an alarm.
  • Regularly check tire pressure with a reliable pressure gauge, even when using the TPMS, as the system is an aid and not a substitute for proper tire maintenance.
  • Keep other electronic devices away from the monitor to minimize potential interference.

Setup and Installation

Monitor Setup:

  1. Charge the Monitor: Before first use, fully charge the monitor using the provided charger.
  2. Mount the Monitor: The monitor can be mounted using the included anti-slip mat on the dashboard or with a windshield-mounted suction cup (if provided, or similar accessory). Ensure the monitor is placed in a location that does not obstruct your view while driving but is easily visible for quick checks.
  3. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the monitor.

Sensor Installation:

It is crucial to install the sensors correctly to ensure accurate readings and prevent air leaks. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Prepare for Installation: Turn on the monitor before installing the sensors. This allows the monitor to receive sensor data immediately upon installation.
  2. Install Anti-Theft Hex Nut: For each tire, first screw an anti-theft hex nut onto the valve stem.
  3. Install Sensor: Screw the sensor onto the valve stem. Be gentle to the valve stem when screwing the sensors. It's best to pinch the valve stem with one hand and then screw sensors with the other hand.
  4. Secure Sensor: Use the provided hex wrench to tighten the anti-theft hex nut against the sensor. This secures the sensor and helps prevent theft.
  5. Check for Leaks: After installing all sensors, ensure there is no air leakage. You may use soapy water around the valve stem and sensor connection to check for bubbles, indicating a leak.

Important Note: VESAFE TPMS is designed for RVs, trailers, coaches, motor homes, and fifth wheels. For tow vehicles with a trailer, the TPMS automatically connects/disconnects by distance detection. A signal booster is recommended to reduce interference between the sensors and the monitor, especially for longer vehicles or combinations.

Operating Instructions

Real-Time Monitoring:

The monitor displays accurate real-time data for each connected tire. It scrolls through all connected tires, showing pressure (PSI) and temperature (℉ or ℃) every 5 seconds. The display can monitor up to 22 tires in total.

Figure 4: Detailed view of the monitor's display. It shows current tire pressure (PSI), temperature, and various alert icons such as low battery, low pressure, high pressure, and leakage.

Alarm Modes:

The VESAFE TPMS features 5 alarm modes to alert you to abnormal tire conditions. An audible and visible warning will be triggered when any of these conditions occur:

  • High/Low Tire Pressure Alarm: Triggered when tire pressure exceeds or falls below preset values.
  • Temperature Alarm: Alerts you if a tire's temperature rises above a safe threshold.
  • Tire Leakage Alarm: Detects rapid air loss from a tire.
  • Sensor Low Battery Alarm: Indicates when a sensor's battery is running low and needs replacement.
  • Monitor Low Voltage Alarm: Alerts when the monitor's internal battery is low.

The alert values for pressure and temperature are adjustable to suit your specific vehicle and tire requirements. Refer to the monitor's on-screen menu for adjustment instructions.

Automatic Connection & Sleep Mode:

  • The monitor automatically sleeps or wakes up based on movement detection. You can also wake it up by tapping the screen.
  • For tow vehicles with a trailer, the TPMS automatically connects or disconnects based on distance detection. When a rear sensor is detected, it displays the rear vehicle data, cycling every 10 seconds. When no rear sensor is received (trailer disconnected), it hides the rear vehicle display.

Maintenance

Sensor Battery Replacement:

The tire sensors have a battery life of approximately 2 years. When a sensor's battery is low, the monitor will display a low battery icon for that specific sensor. The batteries are replaceable (CR2032). To replace a sensor battery:

  1. Unscrew the sensor from the valve stem.
  2. Use the opener tool to carefully open the sensor casing.
  3. Remove the old CR2032 battery and insert a new one, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the sensor casing securely and re-install the sensor on the tire valve stem, following the installation steps.

Monitor Charging:

Recharge the monitor when its battery level is low. Use the provided charger and connect it to a suitable power source (DC 12V ~ 24V). A full charge supports extended operation.

Cleaning:

Wipe the monitor and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VESAFE TPMS, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display on monitor / Monitor not turning on.Low battery; Power cable not connected; Device malfunction.Charge the monitor fully. Ensure power cable is securely connected. If problem persists, contact support.
Sensor data not displayed / Sensor signal lost.Sensor battery low/dead; Sensor not installed correctly; Signal interference; Sensor too far from monitor.Check sensor battery and replace if necessary. Re-install sensor securely. Ensure no strong electronic devices are near the monitor. Consider using a signal booster for long vehicles.
Inaccurate pressure/temperature readings.Sensor not calibrated; Air leakage; Sensor damaged.Ensure sensors are tightly installed and no leaks are present. Compare readings with a reliable gauge. If consistently inaccurate, contact support.
Alarm constantly triggered.Tire pressure/temperature genuinely outside preset range; Preset values are too narrow.Check actual tire pressure and temperature. Adjust alarm thresholds on the monitor if they are too sensitive for your vehicle's requirements.
