4. Setup and Assembly

The Beldray 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner can be assembled in two main configurations: as an upright stick vacuum or as a handheld unit.

4.1. Assembling the Upright Stick Vacuum

1. Insert the extension tube firmly into the main motor unit (handheld unit) until it clicks into place.
2. Attach the floor head to the other end of the extension tube, ensuring it is securely connected.
3. Ensure the dust container and HEPA filter are correctly installed in the main motor unit.
4. Plug the power cord into a suitable mains socket.

4.2. Assembling the Handheld Unit

1. The main motor unit functions as the handheld vacuum.
2. For specific cleaning tasks, attach the crevice tool or brush tool directly to the suction opening of the main motor unit.
3. Ensure the dust container and HEPA filter are correctly installed.
4. Plug the power cord into a suitable mains socket.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your Beldray vacuum cleaner effectively:

5.1. Using the Upright Stick Vacuum

• Once assembled and plugged in, press the power button located on the main motor unit to turn the vacuum on.
• Guide the floor head across the surface you wish to clean. The versatile vacuum head is suitable for various floor types.
• The 5-meter power cord provides extended reach for cleaning larger areas without frequently changing power outlets.

5.2. Using the Handheld Unit

• Detach the main motor unit from the extension tube if it's in stick mode.
• Attach the desired accessory (crevice tool for tight corners, brush tool for upholstery or delicate surfaces).
• Press the power button to activate.
• Use the handheld unit for quick clean-ups, stairs, upholstery, car interiors, or hard-to-reach areas like ceilings.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

6.1. Emptying the Dust Container

1. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the mains supply.
2. Locate the dust container release button on the main motor unit.
3. Press the button to detach the dust container.
4. Hold the dust container over a waste bin and open the bottom flap to empty the contents.
5. Close the flap securely and reattach the dust container to the main motor unit until it clicks into place.

6.2. Cleaning the HEPA Filter

The HEPA filter is washable and should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction power.

1. With the dust container detached, carefully remove the HEPA filter.
2. Tap the filter gently to remove loose dust.
3. Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents.
4. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it into the vacuum cleaner. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices.
5. Reinsert the dry filter and reattach the dust container.

Note: An extra HEPA filter is included for convenience, allowing you to use the vacuum while one filter is drying.
