2. Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when using the NUNET Telescoping Ladder. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or death.

General Safety Guidelines:

  • Read and understand all instructions and warnings before using the ladder.
  • Always ensure all locking mechanisms are fully engaged and secure before climbing.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 330 lbs (150 kg).
  • Set up the ladder on a firm, level, and non-slippery surface.
  • Maintain three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand) while climbing or descending.
  • Avoid overreaching; reposition the ladder as needed.
  • When using as a straight ladder, ensure it is leaned against a stable surface at approximately a 75-degree angle.
  • Pinch Hazard: Keep hands and fingers clear of the rungs and joints during extension and retraction to prevent pinching.
  • Never climb or stand on the top three rungs when using the ladder in A-frame configuration, as this can lead to loss of balance.

3. Setup and Operation

3.1 Unfolding the Ladder (A-Frame Configuration)

  1. Place the folded ladder on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Grasp the top rung of one side and pull upwards until it locks into place. Repeat for subsequent rungs until the desired A-frame height is achieved. Ensure all yellow locking tabs are fully engaged.
  3. Carefully unfold the ladder to form an 'A' shape. Listen for a "click" sound, indicating the A-frame hinges are locked at 30 degrees.
  4. Ensure the balance bars at the bottom are firmly on the ground.

3.2 Extending to a Straight Ladder

  1. With the ladder in the A-frame configuration, locate the central hinge release mechanism.
  2. Lift the metal switch on the central hinge to unlock it.
  3. Carefully extend the ladder until it forms a straight line (180 degrees). Ensure the hinge locks securely in the straight position.
  4. Extend individual rungs from the bottom upwards, ensuring each rung's locking tabs click into place.
  5. When using as a straight ladder, ensure it is leaned against a stable surface at approximately a 75-degree angle.

  2. Press the two black tabs on the underside of the top rung simultaneously to unlock it.
  3. Slowly lower the rung. The rung below will automatically unlock and retract.
  4. Continue this process for each rung until the ladder is fully collapsed.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the ladder regularly with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the aluminum finish.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect all rungs, locking mechanisms, hinges, and feet for any signs of damage, wear, or loose parts. Ensure all components are functioning correctly.
  • Lubrication: Periodically lubricate the moving parts of the locking mechanisms and hinges with a silicone-based lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Storage: Store the ladder in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is fully retracted and secured with the provided strap.
  • Strap Usage: Utilize the included nylon straps to secure collapsed rungs in place, preventing movement and enhancing stability during transport or storage.

  • Ensure you are pressing both black release tabs simultaneously and firmly.
  • Retract one rung at a time, starting from the top.
  • Check for any obstructions or damage to the retraction mechanism.
  • Apply lubricant to the release tabs and sliding parts if needed.

5.3 Ladder Feels Unstable

  • Verify that all rungs are fully locked and the A-frame hinges are securely engaged.
  • Ensure the ladder is placed on a firm, level, and non-slippery surface.
  • Check that the balance bars are properly installed and making full contact with the ground.
