4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your EVDANCE EV Charger:
4.1. Check Your Outlet Type
The charger is compatible with standard 120V NEMA 5-15/5-20 outlets and 240V NEMA 6-20 outlets. It is not compatible with NEMA 6-15, 10-30, 14-30, 14-50, or 6-50 outlets without a separate adapter (not included).

4.2. Power Up in 3 Simple Steps
- Connect to Power Outlet:
- For NEMA 5-15 outlets: Use the included NEMA 6-20 to 5-15 plug adapter, then insert it into the outlet.
- For NEMA 6-20 outlets: Simply insert the charger's NEMA 6-20 plug directly into the outlet.
- Connect to Vehicle: Plug the charger connector (J1772) into your electric vehicle's charging port.
- Verify Connection: The indicator light on the charger will flash green to indicate that charging has started.
Note: The EVDANCE charger can adjust the charging current via the car end/car app settings, up to 16A for 6-20P and 12A for 5-15P, and supports delayed charging.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Understanding LED Indicators
The LED display on the control box provides real-time status updates:

5.2. Charging Process
Once connected to a power source and your vehicle, the charger will automatically begin charging. The LED indicator will show the current charging status. When charging is complete, the LED will turn solid green.
To stop charging, simply disconnect the charger from your vehicle's charging port first, then unplug it from the power outlet.

The EVDANCE EV Charger is designed for broad compatibility with electric vehicles using the J1772 charging standard.

- Incompatible Models: This charger is not compatible with Mini Cooper Electric Hardtop, Toyota Prius Prime/Z4X/RAV4 Prime, or Porsche Taycan Base/4S/Turbo/Turbo S.

7. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance will extend the life and ensure the safe operation of your EVDANCE EV Charger.
7.1. Cleaning:
- Ensure the charger is unplugged from both the power outlet and the vehicle before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the charger and cable with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all components are completely dry before reconnecting to power.
7.2. Storage:
- When not in use, store the charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Use the provided carrying bag and Velcro straps to keep the cable neatly coiled and protected.
- Avoid kinking or bending the cable sharply, as this can damage the internal wiring.
