Over time, frost will accumulate inside the freezer. Defrost the unit when the frost layer becomes about 0.2 inches (5 mm) thick. To defrost:

  1. Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
  3. Open the drain plug located at the front of the freezer to allow water to escape. Place a shallow pan or towel underneath to collect the water.
  4. Leave the lid open to accelerate the defrosting process. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost, as this can damage the freezer.
  5. Once defrosted, clean the interior with a mild detergent and warm water. Dry thoroughly.
  6. Close the drain plug, plug the freezer back in, and allow it to cool down before returning food items.

5.2 Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the efficiency and appearance of your freezer.

  • Interior: Clean the interior surfaces and removable basket with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. The embossed aluminum liner is designed for easy cleaning.
