Before First Use

  1. Unpack the appliance and all accessories. Remove any packaging materials, stickers, or labels.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.

Plate Installation and Removal

The Yabano 3-in-1 Sandwich Maker features easily interchangeable plates for different cooking functions.

  1. To Remove Plates: Locate the release buttons on the side of the appliance, near where the plates are inserted. Press these buttons firmly to release the plates. Carefully lift the plates out.
  2. To Install Plates: Align the desired cooking plates with the slots in the appliance. Gently press the plates down until they click securely into place. Ensure both the top and bottom plates are correctly installed before use.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for general operation and specific cooking functions.

General Operation

  1. Ensure the desired cooking plates are securely installed.
  2. Close the lid and plug the appliance into a 110-120V electrical outlet.
  3. The red and green indicator lights will illuminate, indicating the appliance is powered on and preheating.
  4. Wait for the green indicator light to turn off, signaling that the appliance has reached the optimal cooking temperature.
  5. Carefully open the lid using the cool-touch handle.
  6. Place your food item onto the bottom cooking plate. Do not overfill.
  7. Close the lid and engage the locking handle. The green light may illuminate again during cooking.
  8. Cook for the recommended time or until desired doneness is achieved.
  9. Once cooking is complete, carefully open the lid and remove the food using a heat-resistant, non-metallic utensil.
  10. Unplug the appliance from the outlet after use and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

Making Sandwiches

  1. Install the sandwich plates.
  2. Preheat the appliance as described in General Operation.
  3. Lightly butter the outer sides of your bread slices, if desired.
  4. Place one slice of bread on each bottom plate, butter-side down. Add your desired fillings (e.g., cheese, ham).
  5. Cover with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Close the lid and lock the handle. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the sandwich is golden brown and the filling is melted.
  7. Remove carefully and serve.

Making Waffles

  1. Install the waffle plates.
  2. Preheat the appliance as described in General Operation.
  3. Pour approximately 1/2 cup of waffle batter onto the center of each bottom waffle plate. Do not overfill.
  4. Close the lid and lock the handle. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
  5. Remove carefully and serve with your favorite toppings.

Using as a Panini Press / Grill

  1. Install the grill plates.
  2. Preheat the appliance as described in General Operation.
  3. Lightly brush the grill plates with cooking oil or butter, if desired.
  4. Place your food item (e.g., panini, chicken breast, vegetables) onto the bottom grill plate.
  5. Close the lid and lock the handle. Cook for the desired time, flipping if necessary for even grilling.
  6. Remove carefully when cooked to your preference.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your Yabano 3-in-1 Sandwich Maker.

  1. Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the cooking plates by pressing the release buttons.
