1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the HUIYEETEX Rechargeable Zigbee Smart Blind Motor Kit, designed to automate roller shades with a 38mm tube diameter. This motor allows for control via a mobile application and voice commands through compatible Amazon Alexa devices, without requiring a separate hub.
The kit includes the Zigbee motor, crown/drive tube adapters for 1.5"/38mm tubes, a 2-channel remote, a 5V Type-C charging cable, and this user manual.
2. Setup
2.1 Unboxing and Component Identification
Carefully unbox the motor kit and identify all components. Ensure all parts are present before proceeding with installation.

2.2 Converting Manual Blinds to Smart
To convert your existing manual roller blinds, first unclip the blind from its brackets and remove the chain drive mechanism. Measure the diameter of your shade tube to ensure compatibility (this motor is designed for 38mm tubes). Insert the motor into the shade tube, then attach the bracket to the end of the motor, ensuring it aligns with the slot.

2.3 Initial Charging and Power On
Before installation, ensure the motor is fully charged using the provided Type-C 5V charging cable. Dial the ON/OFF button to the ON position before charging and installing.

2.4 Pairing with Amazon Alexa
This motor connects directly to compatible Amazon Alexa devices (Echo 4th Generation/Echo Plus/Echo Show 10 - all models except 1st Generation/Echo Studio) without a separate hub. It is not compatible with Echo Dot, Google Home, or Homekit.
- Ensure your Alexa device is within 30 feet of the motor.
- Put the motor into pairing mode by pressing the setting button (usually a small button near the charging port) for "four short and one long" presses. The button's light will flash once to indicate success.
- Open the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Tap on "Devices" in the navigation bar.
- Tap the "+" button in the top-right corner and choose "Add Device".
- Select "Other" from the device list, then choose the "Zigbee" logo.
- Tap "Discover Devices" in the Alexa app. Alexa will search for new devices.
- Once discovered, you can find the device under "All Devices" and enable it. You can also rename the blind for easier voice control.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Charging the Motor

4.2 Cleaning
For cleaning, spot clean only. Do not immerse the motor or expose it to excessive moisture.
5. Troubleshooting
- Alexa Connection Issues: Ensure the motor is in binding mode (four short, one long press on the setting button) and connected to power during the Alexa device discovery process. Verify your Alexa device is compatible (Echo 4th Gen, Echo Plus, Echo Show 10, Echo Studio).
- Short Battery Life: Ensure the motor is fully charged. If using the optional solar panel, verify it is correctly positioned to receive adequate sunlight. Battery performance can vary based on usage frequency.
- Motor Not Responding: Check if the ON/OFF switch on the motor is in the ON position. Ensure the motor is charged. If using the remote, verify its battery.
- Limits Not Set Correctly: Refer to the detailed instructions in the included manual for setting upper, lower, and favorite positions using the remote control.
