HUIYEETEX Rechargeable Zigbee Smart Blind Motor Kit (38mm Tube) Instruction Manual

Model: TQL25 (for 1.5In, 38mm Tube)

1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the HUIYEETEX Rechargeable Zigbee Smart Blind Motor Kit, designed to automate roller shades with a 38mm tube diameter. This motor allows for control via a mobile application and voice commands through compatible Amazon Alexa devices, without requiring a separate hub.

The kit includes the Zigbee motor, crown/drive tube adapters for 1.5"/38mm tubes, a 2-channel remote, a 5V Type-C charging cable, and this user manual.

2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing and Component Identification

Carefully unbox the motor kit and identify all components. Ensure all parts are present before proceeding with installation.

2.2 Converting Manual Blinds to Smart

To convert your existing manual roller blinds, first unclip the blind from its brackets and remove the chain drive mechanism. Measure the diameter of your shade tube to ensure compatibility (this motor is designed for 38mm tubes). Insert the motor into the shade tube, then attach the bracket to the end of the motor, ensuring it aligns with the slot.

This motor connects directly to compatible Amazon Alexa devices (Echo 4th Generation/Echo Plus/Echo Show 10 - all models except 1st Generation/Echo Studio) without a separate hub. It is not compatible with Echo Dot, Google Home, or Homekit.

  1. Ensure your Alexa device is within 30 feet of the motor.
  2. Put the motor into pairing mode by pressing the setting button (usually a small button near the charging port) for "four short and one long" presses. The button's light will flash once to indicate success.
  3. Open the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet.
  4. Tap on "Devices" in the navigation bar.
  5. Tap the "+" button in the top-right corner and choose "Add Device".
  6. Select "Other" from the device list, then choose the "Zigbee" logo.
  7. Tap "Discover Devices" in the Alexa app. Alexa will search for new devices.
  8. Once discovered, you can find the device under "All Devices" and enable it. You can also rename the blind for easier voice control.
