4. Installation

The EVERSECU Light-Bulb Security Camera is designed for easy installation into a standard E26/E27 light socket. No complex wiring or drilling is typically required.

4.1. Mounting Options

Three installation methods: Bulb Installing, Ceiling Hanging, Wall Mounting

  1. Direct Light Socket Installation:
    • Ensure the power to the light fixture is turned OFF at the circuit breaker.
    • Carefully screw the camera into a standard E26 or E27 light socket (110V~240V).
    • Turn the power back ON. The camera will power up and initiate its setup process.
  2. Alternative Mounting (if using an adapter/extension):
    • If using an extension or adapter for ceiling hanging or wall mounting, ensure it is securely installed according to its own instructions.
    • Screw the camera into the adapter/extension.
    • Ensure the camera receives stable power.

Important Note:

  • While suitable for indoor and outdoor covered areas, the camera itself is not waterproof. Ensure it is protected from direct rain and harsh weather conditions if used outdoors.
  • For initial setup, it is recommended to power the camera near your Wi-Fi router to ensure a strong signal.

5. Initial Setup

Follow these steps to connect your camera to your Wi-Fi network and begin monitoring.

5.1. Download the O-KAM App

  1. Scan the QR code provided in the camera's packaging or search for "O-KAM" in the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices).
  2. Download and install the O-KAM app on your smartphone.

5.2. Connect to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the O-KAM app and create a new account or log in if you already have one.
  2. Tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon in the app.
  3. Select your camera model or choose the option for a light bulb camera.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz Wi-Fi network you intend to use for the camera.
  5. The app will generate a QR code. Hold your phone with the QR code approximately 4-8 inches (10-20 cm) in front of the camera lens. The camera will scan the code and confirm successful connection with an audible prompt.
  6. Once connected, you can name your camera and complete the setup process.

6. Operation

Explore the various features and functions of your EVERSECU Security Camera through the O-KAM app.

6.1. Live View and Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ)

  • Open the O-KAM app and select your camera to access the live video feed.
  • Use the on-screen controls to pan (rotate horizontally 355°), tilt (rotate vertically 110°), and digitally zoom (4x) the camera view.
  • The camera provides a 360-degree panoramic view of its surroundings.

6.2. Two-Way Audio

  • From the live view, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker.
  • The built-in microphone allows you to hear audio from the camera's location.
  • This feature enables real-time communication with visitors or to deter intruders.

6.3. Motion Detection & Auto Tracking

  • The camera features a highly sensitive motion sensor. When motion is detected, the camera can automatically track the movement.
  • You will receive real-time alerts on your smartphone.
  • The camera can also be configured to emit a voice alert or siren to deter unwanted visitors.

6.4. Night Vision

  • The camera is equipped with 6 IR LEDs and 6 white LEDs.
  • It provides black and white night vision up to 31 feet and full-color night vision up to 65.6 feet, ensuring clear visibility in low-light conditions.

6.5. Recording and Storage

  • The camera supports local storage via a MicroSD card (up to 128GB, sold separately). Insert the MicroSD card into the designated slot (refer to Product Overview).
  • Cloud storage options may also be available through the O-KAM app (subscription may be required).

6.6. ONVIF/RTSP Integration

The EVERSECU camera is ONVIF conformant, allowing integration with Network Video Recorders (NVRs) and third-party software for continuous recording and advanced surveillance management.

  • To enable ONVIF, set a password within the O-KAM app.
  • RTSP Address Format: rtsp://[username]:[password]@[ip]:10554/tcp/av0_0 (for main stream) or rtsp://[username]:[password]@[ip]:10554/tcp/av0_1 (for sub stream). Replace [username], [password], and [ip] with your camera's credentials and IP address.
  • Compatible with software such as Blue Iris, ZoneMinder, Security Spy, and VLC.

6.7. Alexa Integration

  • The camera is compatible with Amazon Alexa for voice control.
  • Follow the instructions in the O-KAM app or Alexa app to link your camera for voice commands and live view on compatible Alexa devices.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your security camera.

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the O-KAM app for available firmware updates. Keeping the firmware updated ensures access to the latest features and security enhancements.
  • Power Cycle: If the camera experiences issues, try turning off the power to the light socket for a few seconds, then turning it back on.
  • SD Card Management: If using a MicroSD card, regularly back up important recordings and format the card periodically to maintain performance.
