1. Select the correct adaptor (1", G1, 35mm, or G1-1/4" NPT) that matches your discharge hose.
2. Screw the chosen adaptor onto the pump's outlet.
3. Securely attach your discharge hose to the adaptor. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

4.3 Positioning the Pump

Place the pump on a stable, flat surface in the area to be drained. Ensure the pump is fully submerged in water for optimal operation and cooling. The pump can handle solids up to 20mm in diameter, but avoid placing it directly on heavy sludge or large debris.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Automatic Mode

The float switch allows the pump to operate automatically, turning on and off based on the water level.

• Ensure the float switch is free to move and not obstructed.
• When the water level rises to approximately 50 cm (20 inches), the float switch will activate the pump.
• The pump will continue to operate until the water level drops, causing the float switch to descend and automatically turn off the pump. This prevents the pump from running dry and overheating.
• If the water level rises again, the pump will automatically restart.

5.2 Manual Mode

For situations where you need to lower the water level to a minimum of about 5cm, you can operate the pump in manual mode.

• To engage manual mode, secure the float switch in its side slot on the pump body. This will keep the pump running continuously regardless of the water level.

• WARNING: When operating in manual mode, it is critical to monitor the pump closely. Immediately unplug the power supply when the water level is low to prevent the pump from running dry, which can cause severe damage to the motor.

5.3 Powering On/Off

• Once the pump is positioned and the hose is connected, plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.
• The pump will begin operating according to the selected mode (automatic or manual).
• To turn off the pump, simply unplug it from the power outlet.
