Setup

1. Battery Installation

The camera operates on three AAA batteries (not included). Ensure correct polarity when inserting.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the side of the camera.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover open.
  3. Insert three AAA batteries, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. SD Card Installation

A 32GB Micro SD card is included. The camera supports SD/SDHC cards up to 32GB.

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the camera, usually near the USB port.
  2. Open the protective cover for the SD card slot.
  3. Insert the Micro SD card with the metal contacts facing down, pushing gently until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the protective cover.

3. Power On/Off

To power on the camera, press and hold the On/Off Button located on the top of the camera. The LCD screen will illuminate. To power off, press and hold the same button until the screen turns off.

Operating the Camera

1. Basic Photo and Video Capture

Once powered on, the camera is typically in photo mode by default. The 2.4" LCD screen displays the live view.

  • To take a photo: Frame your shot using the LCD screen and press the Shutter Button (located on top) fully down.
  • To record a video: Press the Mode Button (usually labeled 'M' or indicated by an icon) to switch to video mode. Press the Shutter Button to start recording, and press it again to stop.
  • Digital Zoom: Use the 'W' (Wide) and 'T' (Telephoto) buttons, typically located near the shutter button, to adjust the digital zoom.

2. Menu Navigation

The camera features a simple menu system for adjusting settings.

  1. Press the Menu Button (often labeled 'Menu' or with a gear icon) to access camera settings.
  2. Use the directional buttons (up, down, left, right) to navigate through menu options.
  3. Press the OK Button (usually in the center of the directional pad) to select an option or confirm a setting.
  4. Press the Menu Button again to exit the menu.

3. Transferring Files to a Computer

You can transfer photos and videos to your computer using the included USB cable.

  1. Ensure the camera is powered off.
  2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the camera's Mini USB Port (located on the bottom).
  3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  4. Power on the camera. Your computer should recognize the camera as a removable storage device.
  5. Open the camera's folder on your computer and copy the desired files.
  6. Safely eject the camera from your computer before disconnecting the USB cable.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Lens: Gently clean the lens with a lens cleaning cloth or a soft brush designed for camera lenses. Do not touch the lens with your fingers.
