1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new Generic replacement infrared remote control. This remote is designed to be compatible with various Twin Star Duraflame 3D Electric Fireplace Heater models. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and to maximize the lifespan of your remote control.

Important: This replacement remote is intended to function identically to your original remote. Please ensure the appearance of this remote matches your original unit for guaranteed compatibility.

2. Safety Information

• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
• Insert batteries with correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated in the battery compartment.
• Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period.
• Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Do not incinerate.

Note: AAA batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.

4. Setup: Battery Installation

Your remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Press down on the tab and slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
3. Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) ends match the markings inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

• Thermometer Button (Thermometer Icon): Adjusts the temperature settings for the heater. Pressing it may cycle through temperature levels or activate temperature adjustment modes.
• Clock Button (Clock Icon): Activates or adjusts the timer function for the fireplace heater.
• Light Bulb Button (Light Bulb Icon): Controls the brightness or intensity of the internal lighting or flame effects.

Usage Tip: Point the remote control directly at the infrared receiver on your electric fireplace heater for optimal response. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the fireplace.

• Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's range decreases or it stops responding. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries.
